Yes you are right! We have sailed from ports around the world and Sydney (Ciruclar Quay) is the best... We sailed on the Splendor in February 2024 for 20 Days and will return in 2025 for 18 days More. We are from Minnesota USA. Thanks for your Video.

Hey thanks! 😊 Yes it really was a pinch me moment sailing away from Sydney and we loved how you could just walk on with everything so close by! Ah that’s awesome we’ve decided to do a slightly longer cruise to the South Pacific next year as well! We also loved the split between Australian and American passengers on board, some great vibes! 😊

flew in a few months ago for a cruise
took a taxi from the airport, and cost $100
(some people said they were charged $120)
Google Maps says it takes 15 minutes, it took us 45-1hr during morning traffic,
took the train back to the airport, took 25 mins and dropped you inside the airport.
    cost $17 per adult.
about a 500m walk. don't get closer in a taxi

Wow that’s an expensive taxi! Definitely worth getting the train if you’re flying in on the day of the cruise, a lot cheaper and so convenient close to the ship!

First off - excellent review. Interestingly, we are booked in exactly the same room type (actually 3 doors down on the same side), the same cruise itinerary, but in August. After booking the cruise I started reading comments on Cruise Critic, and there's a fair amount of negative feedback. Mostly complaining about the level of noise in public areas and "loud" decor, poor quality of food, long lines, poor service in the Lido buffet (i.e. difficulty in finding a clean table to sit at), inability to find quiet places, and the list goes on. I was almost ready to cancel this cruise and forfeit the deposit. Your video series on this cruise ship paints a much different picture. In some regards, I do think having an Ocean Suite takes an edge off of some of the issues (lines and waiting). As well, the food offerings viewed in the video seemed up to par. I'm not sure that we'll be that offended by the ship's decor, although it's does look quite gaudy. In any case, sending our appreciation for making these videos. You likely have contributed to our continuing on this cruise.

      Hey thanks for the comment!
We had the same fears after booking this cruise but we decided to go ahead as we had a suite for relaxation time and the dates and location were ideal for us with Aimi’s pregnancy! We went in with an open mind and were so glad we went ahead because it was a great trip! The service and entertainment were fantastic, the suite was definitely worth it to skip the water shuttle lines as well!
The food quality was good enough for the price of cruise, when they missed a few times with the main dining room/buffet they make up for with the other great quick service options including a burger bar, pizza, Indian and sandwich deli bar for some great alternative options! And the extra charge restaurant Fahrenheit 555 was amazing as well!
The decor is more out there but it very much fits the fun vibe of the ship, we liked it so much we have just booked a South Pacific cruise for next year!
Thanks for the video appreciation, means a lot! Hope you have a great holiday! 😊
