A delicious lesson, I was walking over the moon on my way to school.
Thank you, Sian! Your lesson was very interesting and useful for me. You are very nice and sheerful woman. It was a real enjoy to see you and listen to your wonderful British accent.
I am from Russia. As many other languages, my native one has a lot of metaphors and sayings.
Some of them couinsides completely with English phrases and some not. For example, we say
"the things are going up", or "... went up". And also, instead of "cloud nine" we say "heaven seven". Funny, isn't it? Our emotional women like to say "I'm just on the seventh heaven from the happiness". I wonder, why "nine" is in one case and why "seven" is in other? ÷))
You know, there're even a restaurant "Seventh Heaven" in Ostankinskaya TV station in Moscow.
It is at the height of 328 metres above ground in the fifth floor.
I thank you, ma'am, one more time for an opportunity to practice my English.
Greetings from Moscow!
