I had an Electric Football game when I was a kid back in the early 70's. I don't remember stopping the game so much. I would run the play and let it run until I got tackled. There was no stopping to fix players and turn them a certain way. There was more scheme involved.
Setting up your plays, formations, and schemes is part of the fun of this game. You are the coach calling the plays and your athletes have to execute your plays. That is the fun part of this game.

Just like normal football. You can do your play clock just like it’s done in real football. Most leagues will do a running clock to save time. You can do it that way also. Because I like to record games doing a traditional game clock can take way too long. So I have done 7 minute quarters or 5 minute quarters. Your choice

I have for my games a concept of Zone Touchdowns, an idea I picked up years ago from a guy named Buzzin' Brine who used to be active in the Game and had his own website, Imaginary Football Land, but then just dropped off the radar altogether with both his original website and his blogsite disappearing. The point-value of a touchdown is based on the field zone from which it was scored, defined by the red zones (20 yds to endzone) and the broad midfield (60 yards in between): a touchdown from within the defence's red zone is worth 6 points, one from the midfield area 7, and from the offence's own red zone (80 yds+) 8 points. This way scores are more variable and tie results a bit less likely. With the two Aggie TDs from less than 20 yds, one such by Ohio St. and their other TD from the middle field, the first quarter under my system would be scored as a 13-12 lead for the Buckeyes.
The Madden n FB video games r like checkers n this is like chess. U set up the plays ur the OC the DC n the HC I love it I ALWAYS went back to this n even my son found it more realistic than video games. With the way u can tweak bases n the top notch QBs now even ball on string n the Vicpro which is a tube like qb u get full arc of ball n long bombs. Players execute ur schemes n plays. Love it way more than video games especially wen have like a replica stadium like I have Arrowhead Stadium exact n paid for figures to be exact in detail with tattoos n all lol awesome n realistic especially if ur into minatures n such. Games exciting as hell
This is cool but I have a lot of ancient teams with the Triple Threat QB, Ancient Bases, some dudes that are molded in all one piece so the base is attached. some of the bases I have might be 50 yrs old.
I have some questions on some of the features, my first one is their field goals via (3) or (1) point field goals? And my second question is if their is fumbling and what would cause it to happen?
At first I thought that this was pretty cool and fun. But then I realized I could play Madden instead. And I wont have to set up those figures after every play. Also they cant even pass the ball or anything.

As far as the “creating every aspect of the play” part, In Madden you’re also creating every aspect. As I said, You can call any plays in the playbook, or you can create your own plays and insert them in a playbook. So isn’t that the same thing? Logically it would be way better to buy a few Madden games than spend like $50-100 on this EF thing. You would have way more options, more creativity, could play online against other players, and you have so many modes to choose from.
Consistent Inconsistency Sure, you can create your own player, but that doesn’t add to any element of realism as far as actual football goes. And no, you CANNOT create your own plays in Madden. You haven’t been able to do that in 10+ years. So from a football standpoint, the games are pretty similar in realism. Madden has very little realism in it. They aim for more of an arcade feel to it.

in most styles, fumbles occur when an athlete falls over due to being tackled. yes we have field goals
