I used to play this when I was a kid. Before Tecmo and Madden, this was the best. I remember getting the 49ers-Bengals in my game, then using the pamphlet it came with to order the Jets, Steelers, Cowboys, Raiders, Vikings, Dolphins, Redskins and Chiefs. I never understood how to use the board though, and getting the players to move straight was always a hassle. I never learned how to pass either, so I just basically got the pieces and would play with them by myself. How did you get the personalized logos and end zones, along with the jerseys? Do they still make the pieces for this game? The stadium would be better with stands also. I'd love to play a game with you one day. God bless
A lot has changed since the old days. I remember those days as well. Today, we can customize figures to get them to do what we want them to do. We can tweak bases to move exactly how we like. Trust me bro, I am a huge NCAA fan from EA sports. I have every Madden and NCAA from madden 97 to present. But a few years ago learned that Electric Football was slowly dieing. I wanted to preserve it and give it a new look. So i decided to create a college conference with all the bells and whistles. Now we have created 16 college teams with authentic playbooks, figures that actually play their positions, with crowd sounds, chants, morale, fight songs, ect. It's NCAA 2014 meets electric Football. I and a group of me closest friends have created a new atmosphere for our EF and I hope that it is well received. Season 2 will start in a week. It will feature a Blimp with camera as well as new teams, their school traditions! The Works bro. It is soOOOO Much Fun!! Subscribe to my channel. Check our the Alabama game!!! I eventually got too frustrated and stopped playing electric football altogether and switched to tecmo super bowl on the NES.
LOL, Today we have created new ways to get as close to realistic as possible. I have even gone so far as to create a set of rules based around the actual NCAA rulebook. So my rules are actually very close to actual real college football. But i agree, I left EF for Tecmo Superbowl as well LOL. But I recently rediscovered this game in the last 6 years and i have to admit, when you actually play it in your own way it is a lot of fun. Please check out my more recent games.
they have all been killing me in my emails. have to admit. good comments and respect though. the play is forward progress when the running back turns backwards. you can not reset the runner by turning him around. and re positioning players. turn the board up. you saw the player get knocked down. turning up the board up just a little and maybe 5-6 players go down from contact just like real football. the start - stop -switch players is why the game has not evolved. (even though you think it has ) don't be fooled. the new rules and techniques, tweaking is not how the game is played. one top player told me you can't use the bases out of the box which tells me he got it all wrong. i can use the bases out of any new game and audition the basses to place each position player where i need them. to tweak players is cheating. if the bases are no good out of the box then we need to call out the makers. sorry couldn't remember how to spell manufactures. hope that was right. i loved the real passing but you can not turn the receiver toward the goal line and turn the corner back towards him. i like how this guy doesn't miss completions. i never miss pass attempts. funny if the coverage is tight i throw ints like a real game which should never happen so what do i know. lol. good job dude however if you pass the passing figure has to be on the field on a passing play and how do you turn the board 2 times to stop play before calling it a pass play. this is not electric football. how can the play last over a minute for one play. not being an a hole. i just remember how the game was meant to be played. i ask everyone to turn the board up just a little so maybe 5-6 players get knocked down. you will be hooked like real football. a play should not take minutes. it should take the same amount of time as a real play. one guy told me his league tried it and was not impressed . at least they tried every avenue. don't change the way you play. i am in PHILLY and would like to know your rules and challenge anyone anytime. your venue. i will pay for rental, food, beverages. just to politic. hey i might learn something. hit me up.
