We are back with another walleye fishing video! In this video we are fishing for late June on a natural lake. In this video I am fishing an unfamiliar location during a big time mayfly hatch. In this video I am jigging Moonshine Shiver Minnows above walleyes and getting them to react.

We need a TH-cam walleye tournament
Tom Boley, Jay Siemens, Clayton Schick , TJ’s guide service, Nick Linder, Joe Holland, Alex Timm, Cody S., and target walleye.
More great content Tom! Just picked up my forward facing and tried it on a local lake last night. So much fun. TKI pole is fantastic. Thanks for the promo code (free shipping).
Thanks for watching and have fun fishing!
Tom, I love the technical side of the videos, like the up the hook size with a split ring, showing us your "office space" set up and tricks. Catching fish over and over is fun, but also monotonous, so I appreciate the tips and instruction sprinkled in. Great video, thank you.
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching
I agree 100%!!! I love learning!
It’s always tuff with mayfly’s but you catching your fair share shows the baits you use rock !
Mitchell the Task Master! LOL
Another banger
Running to scheels for some shiver minnows before my trip to Millacs
Good luck!
Love the content keep up the good work 🔥
Tom, do another vid on spinners on boards for summer fish. Fun to watch those.
Got a trolling video we filmed today
Are you switching from hyper rattle to shiver minnow, or just trying something different
Fun little vid!!
It would be great if you could do some catch and cook videos😊
Nice
Tom, as always love the information and content! Is there a way I can ask you about a specific lake in your home area as I’m from there also?
Im still suffering from sea sickness from the live lol!😅 Hey Tom are you doing seminars this summer if so where's your schedule?
Hey Tom been watching your videos for years now and love the content. Thanks to you I’ve put many sows in the boat primarily spring and fall but I’ve always had trouble during summer time on the lake I’m on in N. WI. Won’t name the lake but it’s about 50 ft max depth ~1000 acres with loads and loads of mid lake humps (~20) out in the main basin. I have electronics but no live scope and I always have trouble finding mid summer fish. I’ve tried saddles straddling humps and mid lake points. Spring time I’m smoking decent 17-25 inch fish on jigs and plastics so I know they’re in there but they seem to disappear for me in the summer. Does it really just take cruising around trying to find fish? Or is there a go to method?
Before Livescope, I would find fish on top of humps or in the basin with my 2D. Found a lot of fish that way.
Why did you switch from the hyper rattle to the shiver minnow?
Hey Tom I'm a northern wisco guy like you. Eagle River area. I was saving up for a forward facing hummingbird. I guy at my work told me Wisconsin was thinking about banning forward facing sonars. Have you heard that?. Love the videos. Would like to see also a muskie bender with you and the boys
Tom love your Chanel, but could you take your knowledge and how you find and catch walleye and fish heavily pressured lakes and rivers.
Good video.
Thanks for watching
I am a fan of just fish. But don't underestimate the B roll. It is frustrating to work with having to look the part on camera but the B roll compliments and supplements your videos.
Tom, I notice you were going around 2mph when you were searching. Is that the best speed to cover ground when throwing jigs/hyper hammers?
2mph is pretty normal yes.
@@TomBoley Thanks, Tom.
Do you ever put a blade on the bottom of the bait? By the treble hook. Like jigging spoons in winter?😊
I don't on these. This is 99% a speed thing in my mind.
Dude films so much hes got his gopro BOLTED to his hat 😂
Gotta be ready... Never know when u might get on a hot bite
Do you notice walleyes relate more to the bottom in the morning and suspend in the afternoon and evening during the summertime over deeper water?
It's all varies honestly. Would be a lot easier if it was black and white
Tom, tried a 5/8 kalin search bait on lake of the woods, morson, ontario last weekend. All casts ended with the hook tangled up. Any suggestions on how to minimize tangling? I was using a pinched off crawler. Thank you.
Lots of reports of this happening. I put some heat shrink tubing over the swivel that holds the hook. Worked great
I've said it a bunch in videos... It's honestly basically never happens if you do these things.
Lob the cast.
Thread the crawler over swivel.
Stop the lure before it hits water
Use the “Walleye Nations Creations Death Head Jig”. It’s where Kalin’s got their design. The WNC works way better. I’ve had both.
I fish the Madison chain in WI - it’s as pressured as a group of lakes can be. I’ve caught on the WNC. Have not caught on the Kalins.
Entirely anecdotal in nature, but… I believe what I believe. Who said superstition isn’t core to fishermen?
😂1 of my boats wow
Please tell me you have a patent on that hat mount!!!
The more I watch you fish with the tiller style boat the mire it makes sense to me to have one. At first I was very sketched about being in the very back and the bow being higher than I could observe dangers or others. The reality is though that trim can adjust that and the only time im in the captains seat is to and from a location. That is 3% of my time fishing using 20-25% of the boats real-estate. I have a G3 Angler V176. Its downfall is the width. The console and seat take up litteraly 30-40% of the space that could be used for fishing pole in hand. I just started targeting Eyes 3 years ago but I haven't had the time or really made the time to target target them only. Ill get out there and start to fish a pattern but its so fking easy to catch crappie it lures me to switch. That has to change.
Leave the crappie baits at home. Then you gotta fish walleyes . It's a fun challenge
What size# shiver 🥶 minnow
👏🙏
What happened to the hyper rattle?
Still use em. I just like fishing a wide variety of baits
Now its summer and its hot lets get SHELBSTER OUT THERE!!! 😁😀🥵
Tom what kind of sunglasses are you sporting?
Gas station 20$ glasses
Dang
No Big Buck talk today
No more Hyper Rattle?
Still use them. I just like mixing it up
Maybe next year shiver minnows will come out with a bigger hook and a split ring😅
I'll try.
Fastest way is to see the fish on a screen and throw anyhting at them hope this helps
So what kind of summer tactics do you suggest one uses if they DONT have the $4,000 piece of equipment to see the fish on LIVE scope?.😁
Well there is a ton of different things to do. Trolling is one we have a video coming on that
