I'm glad Unrivaled sold out its first series of games. The real gauge of Unrivaled's market success will be 5-6 games into the season. Wish them luck but I'm not seeing it.
Who was that last pretender? Of course CC's going to get better. She hasn't reached her ceiling. Not even close. Add a free agent or two and the sky's the limit. Those early turnovers she had disappear and become points and assists. Every team threw every defense at her--schemed to stop/contain her. She still excelled. With that experience, she'll make those reads even quicker in recognition. The records she breaks in the future will--for the most part--be her own. Plus we're going to see a well rested Caitlin from beginning to end. I expect nothing less than a 4th place finish before their playoff run in 2025. Quite possibly the first of a few league MVP trophies.
CC is NOT “resting.” She’s training. Hard. For one, she’s in the weight room and visibly looks more jacked. So stand by for next season, because CC 2.0 will be even better than her MVP season this year.
She needs the rest. Her coming from College, the WNBA preseason/season that much straight basketball will have you constantly in the gym to keep loose and fit and I'm sure that takes a toll on any ball player. Besides, taking the rest time doesn't hurt. You don't want to go go go. At some point you have to listen to your body and rest. Another reason she turned down Unrivaled's offer because she saw who exactly was playing and said no. Some of those women assaulted her through out the season like D'ijonai Carrington eye poked her which could have ended her career and her vision. Or maybe she really enjoys Golf. I'm sure there are many reasons but it is probably the rest that she so desperately wants the most. Either way hopefully Unrivaled can over come the competition of NFL playoffs, NCCA Bowl games, NHL and NBA. Hopefully it goes well. Trying to get viewership and keep ratings good against men's sports is going to be a challenge but well see. Gotta stay positive for the Unrivaled.
