All you gotta do is use the rear suspention sys tr em off the truck to make the trailer lay frame. Not bolt on. But it's no fun if you dont get to drill and cut stuff!
That trailer is almost as cool as that surfboard on the table!! It's still an oddly shaped trailer, but once it's attached to the truck it looks alot better indeed.
Looks cool. Fwiw.... if your radio doesn't have the ability, they make an inline device that can slow down the chassis drop servos on the tow rig. These were mainly used on RC planes for retractable landing gear and gear doors.
Josh, you definitely need to bag the trailer that will be sick as hell looking!! 👍👍 The battery compartment on the trailer is definitely, as Bob Ross would say, a "Happy Accident" on their part lol.
Hey from Globe Arizona 👋 We get ours tomorrow . I'm hoping you or someone will come up with a way to make the hauler 4x4 . But this is one of the Best releases redcat has come out with ! Great video , Instagram keeps flagging me as spam for some reason , oh well
Considering what class of truck the Chevy is, a big pintle hitch heavy duty trailer makes sense. Using the truck bed makes sense to keep the cost down, but it passes as a heavy-duty trailer that has some sheet metal skirting added to dress it up. Something like a 20 ton TrailKing like you would see behind a dumptruck. Its got what I would call a walking beam suspension. What if you adjusted the leafs so the trailer sat as high as you can get it; then flip the trailer axle and go for spring under. Should get the trailer sitting lower and allow for the suspension to work as designed. It won't be air ride like the truck, but should drop the trailer lower so it looks better behind the truck.
My Spektrum 4-channel has an Expo adjustment for servos……I wonder if adjusting the Expo on your air ride servo will slow it down a bit?…..so that it ‘airs’ down. That would look more realistic.
I would look into a beier system it runs lights and sound and you can use a Bluetooth system for the trailer that wil run lights for the trailer and servos too and you won't need a separate reciever
Just curious: if you used a transmitter like the Flysky GT5, couldn't the air ride servos be mapped to the knobs, instead of a two position switch? It works for a winch, should be a solution to the speed of the ride lowering & raising too quickly.
I see you always go all the way up and down. My question is can you drive around with the truck almost dragging the ground? I’d like to be able to ride around almost laid out
I e actually started a full scale 50 cab over build on bags. It’s been setting on the wayside for quite some time and this really wakes up my desire to get back on that build. What is the wheel base on this model? You have it in hand, could you please give me the wheel base measurements. It would be unbelievably cool to have this scale model base to build a replica of my full scale build. Thx, awesome stuff…and I’m sorry, I’m asking based off your video of the actual hauler. Thx again
Too bad they didn’t include the low riders stick radio. You could adjust your ride height and slow the drop and lift down to a realistic speed. Still a sweet looking rig though!
I probably shouldn’t even say this, you should use this trailer “bed” with a square body cab for a 6x6 flat bed tow truck…? With cantilever suspension. Damn I should build this.
I’ve only seen one TH-camr, and one video mentioned how much these things cost any red cat product what the freaks going on man and also our OCHOBBY nobody matches the price
Cool rig , love to see a company come out with really old stuff , and then they made a trailer to go with it ! Super cool 👍
I'd totally love to get both, the truck and the trailer! Congrats Josh!
Awesome yeah here watching
Man oh man that is sweet, yeah digging on it 😁👍👍😎
Send another Y-split servo lead to the trailer…..then when you flip the switch, the truck and trailer drop TOGETHER. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Freaking awesome with the trailer!

Gosh I’m in love with this system, as always appreciate you sharing josh
Yeah I’ll catch you on the next one, until then peace and chicken grease 😁👍👍😎
Awesome hauler !!!!!!!
Awesome man now you just need to learn how to drive this and your hauler together 🤣👊🏼🤙🏼💨💨

Thats got to be the nicest looking rtr killer combo to date 💯

You have me thinking I need a trailer :)
For the cost I’d expect the lights and all the features already in. And a more scale trailer and tow truck bed. But other than that is is beautiful.
Just picked up this truck at BTC. I met you there. I’m interested in a RatRod build. Tony

I didn’t even think about the ole flip kit. Lol. That might be a less extensive solution than what I’ve just done 😂

Here i watch again
Its neat, a box we're in for like a box delivery van for it
Or maybe an RV cab
I like that idea!

I’m assuming so. The stock radio had no variable control for channel 3 and 4. So any radio that does you could slow it down
Good video, do you think a hw fusion would look good on him?
Probably. Those are good in just about everything
Or the Konnect ,same as the fusion .it’s made by HW and cheaper .and just as good ..
I see you always go all the way up and down. My question is can you drive around with the truck almost dragging the ground? I’d like to be able to ride around almost laid out
Not on this radio. It’s not adjustable like the Lowrider radio is.
@@RCeveryday ah shit that sucjs
Can you please do a review of the Redcat machete 6s

Center on center its 21" WB

The more I think about it, this could be a alternate bed for the COE. A 6x6 version.
The answer that you seek, may possibly lie in the rear set-up of the hauler...🤔
How did you add the hub caps I can't seem to figure how to put them do I twist or push down?
They screw on. Kind of a pain to get flush.
imagine having drop down ramp instead of that rack on the front of the trailer so you can actually drive over to the truck bed...
so bad ass

First
Nah,.......Pass 🙁😕
