As a proud Filipina I really enjoyed watching you two enjoying the food! 😊 If you guys think that Crispy Pata was delicious, you will definitely like Lechon (suckling pig). The skin of the pig is so crispy and crackles when you bite into it like candy. 🤤 The “miniature orange” it’s actually called Calamansi. It’s The Philippines version of a lemon or lime. For the Adobo (marinade) Chicken, it shouldn’t taste like a taco, but everyone has their own version of our national dish. Especially if you ever visit the Philippines, each region has their own take. Some will use chicken or pork or even seafood Adobo. Oh and the salad was just a garnish or your daily vegetables for the day. 😅😂 Same goes for the Sisig. Oh and if you really want to enjoy the full experience with the Sisig dish, have it at the restaurant on a hot skillet/plate. Thanks for the video! Hope to see more Filipino food vlogs because I know that you’ll come to discover that Filipino cuisine is like a mixing pot of many different cultures. 😊

omggg im so happy with this video. honestly, the adobo doesn't actually look like adobo. the sauce is supposed to be darker than that. the pansit bihon always comes with either lime, lemon, or calamansi and supposed to be mixed with the bihon. the lumpiang shanghai is just egg roll but the inside is just pork meat with minced carrots and other seasoning. the ube ice cream is actually made from purple yam. and honestly all filipino dish actually tastes better with fresh hot rice.... i love yall's reaction

As a Filipino citizen, I appreciate that you two like the food 🥰 also a tip for next time you buy filipino food again. So the adobo chicken you suppose to eat it with just rice, put the sauce of the adobo chicken on top of the rice. Same thing with sisig just eat it with rice. Sometimes we put eat on top of it and lime and taste so good 😙🤌🏻 The pancit bihon you have to squeeze the lime/calamansi to the noodles and mix the noodles. 😁 Hope this helps. 🥰

2:08 Alyssa The one on your right is a sauce made with pig liver, vinegar, and spices. It's the perfect medley of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors that pair well with crispy pork and our many favorite dishes. And on your left is called Atchara (also spelled achara or atsara) is a pickle made from grated unripe fruit papaya originating from the Philippines. This dish is often served as a side dish for fried or grilled foods.

Appreciate ya’ll trying all these treats. You guys are just scratching the surface of what Filipino culture has to offer. Keep doing it and hope we can get a part two. If you’re in the LA area, I’ll be happy to take ya’ll on a food tour of both traditional and modern Filipino cuisine.
    Just some pronunciation corrections:
Crispy Pata - Long “A” sounds on the Pata
    Pancit Bihon - “Pan-Set”
    Little Orange - “Calamansi”
    Sago Gulaman - “Saa-Go Goo-La-Maan”
Chicken Adobo - “Aa-Doe-Bow” - pro tip- put the adobo sauce on the rice… it’s not supposed to be a salad lol.
Sisig - SeeSig - we consider this “Pulutan”, it’s a good we eat while we drink or hang out.
You want to try some real fire… ask for the Kare Kare or Dinuguan.

Jollibee is the American Americanized version of Filipino food, fast food style and what you had was more authentic. I loved the sisig! Chicken Adobo definitely shouldn't taste like a taco but everyone makes it differently. That's the beauty of food, you can cook it many different ways and just make it your own. There are so many good taco spots in LA. The best ones are in truck spots. You gotta come out to the hood a little to get something good lol. Maybe you guys can try that next. I'm in the LA area and have a lot of good recommendations! I hope I can meet you guys one day! I live near the Beverly hills/west Hollywood area. 💕

9:02 Pork sisig is a popular Filipino dish. It can be considered as a main dish or an appetizer. The composition of this dish is mainly of pig's parts such as minced pork meat, ears, and face. Chicken liver, onions, and chili peppers are also added. Best paired with beer! Yeah, and it can be chicken sisig too.
