Doctor Mike is a cool channel. Also, in case you two didn't know, Ronald Reagan survived an assassination attempt where he was shot, but lived. Also, Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt was once shot while giving a speech and refused to stop and completed his lengthy speech before allowing medical care.

The most tragic death to me is James Garfield's. He was someone who I think could've been one of our best presidents if he wasn't cursed by having bad doctors. Incredibly intelligent(a self-made professor turned Union officer and politician who had worked himself up from poverty, he is both the only president to ever publish a mathematical proof and a guy who could write in Latin with one hand and Greek with the other simultaneously) and was big on fixing corruption in Washington(his successor, Chester Arthur, ironically since he was a stalwart or the people who opposed civil service reform, got the Pendleton Act which forms the core of our civil service system today, through after Garfield's death as a way to secure his legacy) and on education(including for freed slaves who had been cast to the wayside at the end of Reconstruction.) It would've been hard since former Confederate Southern Democrats controlled the Senate but if he could've been able to get education reforms through, I think it could've been a bridge to modernity and we'd potentially have a much better racial history in the 20th Century. They weren't contemporaries but I feel like him and Booker T. Washington(Booker T. was 26 when Garfield passed) would've gotten along great due to their shared focus on education. But we lost that chance due to Dr. Bliss being a moron. A huge what-if.
MAD magazine cartoonist Al Jaffee just passed away in April of this year at 102. Once asked about his longevity he said "Serious people my age are dead."
Kennedy's back problems were always there but they were greatly amplified in WWII. Despite his chronic health issues, he served in WWII as a PT boat captain. While on a patrol, his PT Boat was rammed and split in half by a Japanese destroyer. With a broken back, and burns, he collected his men and swam the injured to a nearby island one by one... Even though he was actually one of the most injired amoung them. He recieved some burns and other injuries too but that break would haunt him for his entire life. He could have survived that first bullet during his assassination, if he hadn't broken his back in WWII, he wouldnt have had that back brace; he would have been able to duck.
You will be fine if a bullet is still left in you usually and that’s actually the standard practice, it can cause more problems trying to dig it out so if it’s in a non dangerous place most doctors will just leave it where it is and repair around it.
I'm surprised he didn't mention #7 Andrew Jackson's love of dueling. He fought over 100 duels in his lifetime and even got shot in the chest during one of them (although he actually killed his opponent in the same duel). It wasn't his cause of death, but definitely a fun fact about the guy.

You all express shock at the stories of doctors probing gunshot and other wounds with ungloved and unscrubbed fingers etc but you need to realize that the beginning of awareness of the need for surgical antisepsis came from British surgeon Joseph Lister in 1864 and wasn't fully accepted until the 1890s. Lincoln and Garfield's wounds, and so many others, were before the full acceptance and, in Lincoln's case, before even Lister's theories had spread much beyond Glasgow University where he worked.

You can’t blame anyone but it still gets to me and the treatments were more often than not what ultimately caused the deaths.
Just an FYI after your question about Kennedys age. To be elected President of the US you must be at least 35 years of age and a natural born citizen. You must also have lived within the US at least 14 years (meaning you couldn't have lived overseas your entire life and still get elected). I had forgotten the second part of the following though I did learn it in school. "John F. Kennedy was the youngest elected president at 43 years 236 days. After McKinley died, Theodore Roosevelt became the youngest president at 42 years 322 days." The difference is election vs. ascension to office.
