今回は、2023年５月５日に福岡県の「海の中道」で行われた京都橘高校吹奏楽部のマーチングパレードです。

This is a JAPANESE HIGH SCHOOL BAND!?! There are University and professional marching bands who don't sound HALF as good!!! FANTASTIC... These kids are wonderful!
Not only sounds, but also dancing and jumping 😂
I have followed this band on Y T for years, and I am always amazed. These fine youngsters learn their instrument, learn the songs, and learn the steps. Hitting the notes, staying in step (mostly), and doing the routine. Not only very good musicians, but fit athletes as well, with the distances their band marches, combined with the dance routines, all while playing. Well done!
What an amazing band! More than a half-century ago, I was in my high school marching band in the U.S. (Los Angeles). This is simply adorable! What a great country Japan is! Lovely. 👍
Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band has particated in the Pasadina California Rose Parade twice.~USA
Will be the third time in December 2024 to January 2025 at the rose parade---USA

Great to see this incredible band marching again. This High School band sounds so much better than any college band I’ve ever heard. They must be a tremendous source of pride to Japan. They proudly show the world what disciplined youth can accomplish! I hope that they can travel the world to show others how high the bar has been set. Godspeed to this amazing marching band and a tip of the hat to the music director. You must be proud. You all restore my faith in the youngsters of the world !!!

The choreographers and musical arrangers deserve a LOT of credit!! Think of the dedication required by all to produce a performance of this quality and complexity.
Not only the choreography but the fact that they have memorized theses songs is quite impressive.
It has been a million years since I was in a marching band....this brings back some fond memories. We were not near as talented nor as dedicated as these fine folks.

Wow. Awesome performance. Was fun watching the students. They really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Never seen so many young ladies in a band before. Must have been hard to play an instrument and do the moves they were doing at the same time. I’m sure that walking and playing at the same time is hard enough and to add the moves, very impressive and a talented group.

Absolutely fantastic. I can never get bored of listening to an entertaining and very professional band and all high schoolers, am jealous I could never play like that and I no slouch as a Musician but just seeing you make me feel like an utter novice. They have been in the Pasadena Rose Parade and they will be there again in '25, I think.

Que ótima banda! Grande performance dos integrantes. o repertório bastante variado, que incluiu até uma música brasileira: A música Tristeza, uma composição de Haroldo Lobo e Niltinho. Niltinho compôs vários clássicos do Carnaval brasileiro.
Valeu muito a pena assistir.
Semplicemente eccezionali ! suonare (peraltro senza spartito), danzare e andare al passo è qualcosa di molto difficile: onore all'impegno profuso e chapeau al maestro (o ai maestri) che hanno addestrato questo splendido gruppo!!

Sousaphones are now 12kg PRO GRADE silverplated brass and not the 9kg FRP (plastic) sousaphones used 2018 and before..
Instruments line up has also changed. Now there are trumpets Clarinets and Flutes+ piccolos also lined before the sousaphones,
And there are trombones and euphoniums and alto+tenor saxophones and french horns ALSO lined after the sousaphones too
So there is better blending of timbres, different tone ranges and harmony in front and at the rear of the band.
That's why sound recordings are now much better.
Thanks to new Band Director Yutaka Kaneshiro (兼城 裕) and new marching coach Band Marching Coach Nanaho Shima (島奈央)

I can hardly walk and chew gum at the same time, and the only musical instrument I can play is the radio, so I envy these fine kids and appreciate the hard work that they, the school staff, and the parents put into every performance!

Increíble coreografía, tan larga y distinta en cada uno de sus movimientos, qué memoria más increíble para no equivocarse en nada. Mejor que un desfile norteamericano. Con razón se dice que los japoneses son los MEJORES IMITADORES DEL MUNDO. Existen grupos musicales japoneses de TANGO, GRUPOS ORQUESTALES DE MÚSICA TROPICAL, ETC. y lo hacen a la perfección. Congratulations.
Le pregunto por que mi falta de preparacion intelectual no me permite ditinguir cuando es IMITACION , y cuando no es jenuino , como MUSICO celebro este tipo de bandas por que con la GRAN MUSICA ... CURADORA ..... PARA NUESTROS ESTADOS DE ANIMO , emblema de nuestro sentir para los momentos de dolor , no veo lo que usted utiliza como una competencia , la MUSICA no compite , es tan inocente que transita por nuestro torrente como una perlita redonda para aquietarse al costado del corazon , si usted se imaginara las horas de ensayo que tiene este gran trabajo , ni idea tiene , nunca vi bandas AMERICANAS danzando y a la vez ejecutando un instrumento , son todos grandes musicos a pesar de su juventud , celebro por ese DIRECTOR DE ORQUESTACION , a recorrido un gran avanico musical , hasta un MAMBO latinoamericano , mis mas sinceros respetos Sr BUSTOS , pero en la musica solo esta intacto siempre su lugar de MUSICA , sin comparaciones absurdas , atte .
