- BOOM. I'm about to take your ceiling fan from drab to fab for NADA HUNNIE! haha well I already had everything so it literally cost me nothing more BUT let me show you how to revamp that ugly ceiling fan!!!!
This was so easy its stupid. haha The amount of change it gave my room was SO amaze too. I am literally going to paint all of the existing ceiling fans in my house too! I am planning on doing silver in my bedroom! OOOOOH. Right, right? haha The possibilities are endless. You could do so much to the blades too if you wanted!

So nice to see a woman who is NOT helpless and/or brainless. I was on Wayfair and some dimwit was complaining that she purchased a fan with white blades. The other side was oak colored and the edges were oak, so she was sooo unhappy with her purchase. DUH! I guess she never heard of paint. I need to send her over here :-) Fan looks great by the way!

I love chalk paint. I bought a round pedestal table fir $40 which was a good deal for a solid wood table and chairs. I painted pure white a bought some gray fabric chairs with studs from target and im on love. I have the same color scheme as you.

Wow what a small change that literally changes the whole look of the room.. Do u use the chalk paint bc it's more opaque or just bc you had it on hand?
I would keep things as original as possible but that's a better move than throwing out an old fan. Older ceiling fans are generally better than newer ceiling fans.

Yes, I wondered that too. I guess it was because she already had the chalk paint so she didn't have to go out and buy something else for this project.

I Have A Metallic Gold Fan And I Want To Paint The Complete Fan (Blades And Everything) All White. What Kind Of Paint Would You Recommend I Use?
Some guy did a video on that in here somewhere. It didn't turn out all that great. It looked lumpy.. and had kind of an orange peel texture.

It's possible but it would be difficult. You would have to probably buy a metallic spray paint and a clear coat spray paint and tape off everything that isn't the metal, so it would be meticulous. But it is possible!

how does chalkboard paint clean? cause we all know how dust collects on ceiling fans. lol
It's easy to clean as long as you put the wax coat on top. Like she said in the video, If you dont, the dust/dirt will stain the chalk and if you scrub the dust to get it off, it will take the chalk paint off too. But if you use the wax coat it will be super easy to clean!
Chalk paint and chalkboard paint are 2 different things but I have a piece that I painted with chalk paint and as long as you waxed it after painting it it is easy to clean with a wet rag just like any other piece of furniture. ☺️
