What? Are you going against the Linux Community saying "it just works" which is what you hear about everything in Linux? The New PopOS 21.10 download seems to come with only linux-image-5.16.11-76051611-generic. :(

Hi, rendering is often dependent on both the GPU and the CPU, and I find that Nvidia outperforms AMD in terms of encoding and rendering.

A couple of questions: Does Rocm work? If I install the opencl side of amdgpu-pro am I still using mesa for vulkan(games)?

I haven't tried it personally, but I believe it will fail because the OpenCL stacks in Rocm and AMDGPU Pro are completely different. Yes, it will be mesa for vulkan.

I'm looking forward to use DaVinci full time, but the graphics support is so spotty. I was hoping you can demonstrate at least some degree of a working setup, but I was disappointed. Sorry, but this video is not for me. Please make more effort in testing things once you show them to start. Because start and work are two different things.

I apologise if that did not help you; but, there are two approaches to use DaVinci resolution efficiently. 1. You need nVidia. 2. Use your PC to run Mac. The second approach, which requires no transcoding and works right out of the box, is my preference.
