Great film. I fell in love with Whitby in Autumn and must admit the skies and sea looked familiar and lovely. As for the Winged Muggers they certainly do add excitement. Never forget the first time one swooped and stole a pot of seafood out of my other half's hand 😂
I often buy chips in Whitby and once they’re cool enough I get ‘such a shock ‘ when the seagulls are around I ‘ accidentally drop’ them so they get something to eat. Didn’t know they loved ice cream. Now I know I’ll end up ‘dropping’ my desert 🤭🤭🤭
In Bridlington the seagulls don't even hang around the cafes and tourists because people there don't feed them. It's a whole different vibe. This weather is just off the charts though.
It’s only in certain locations (mainly where they get fed) that seagulls aren’t too shy - especially when they’re in numbers! They tend to get desperate since they have chicks to feed and become more daring - I work inland at a post office hub and I’ve managed to train a few gulls to sit on the picnic table that I take my breaks at and feed out of my hand - normally away from the coast they tend to avoid people unless they recognise them as feeders - although some of them will feed out of my hand, I tend to avoid this because they have sharp beaks and lots of power behind them, so I’ll pretty much just pass food into their mouths
Aww I was here this week but came home Thursday as the weather was pants we had one full day of sunshine we saw lots of seagulls attacks from the captains quarters it a shame we didn’t bump into you to say hello but we did a tour of the pirate ship and filmed it coming in
Pirate Ship ???????? What ship were you referring too? Or did you mean the one which is a replica (in metal) of one of Captain Cook's ships and the other a replica of a Spanish Galleon?
