Quite possibly the most useful video on youtube! I have faught my doors for two years. I just assumed they were bent but when I checked them with a straight edge I could never find anything out of alignment, they work exactly like yours in the video. I cannot wait to get back home and fix those damn things once and for all!! Thanks for the video!!
I just sprayed mine down with PB Blaster oil and let it sit over night, then followed that with spray lithium grease to keep them lubed. I want to install a garage door opener on them, so I need them to work freely.
I DID THIS, MY DOORS WHERE HARD TO OPEN AND SHUT WITH 2 ARM FULL BODY PUSH. NOW ONE DOOR SWINGS IN THE WIND AND THE OTHER MOVES WITH A SOLID ONE ARM MOVE.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! I wish I would have known this before I painted my container office! I would assume this would be best to do before you paint because when using a torch you going leave burn marks? Also I was trying to find you on IG, but could not?
We recently got a container. The doors are very stiff, I'm thinking because they haven't been used in over a decade. Cut the padlock off and the doors do swing, with difficulty. I'm torn whether or not to change this. We routinely have 30-40 mph wind and I'd hate to get smacked in the face with a heavy, free-swinging door. Good video

Were you able to fix them?
Hell yeah brother, thank you from an old man in Florida. My doors are so hard for me to open, definitely trying this first thing in the morning
I get my 1st 2 20' containers tomorrow. Used ones . Gotta start some place .
Finally the video I needed!!
Thanks for the advice on the door hinges. I will try that.
Hope it works out for ya!
Thanks so much, didn't know what I was going to do..
Great tip. Thanks.
Hey you have performed the repair
Never use heat the door hinges
with fire
Use hammer and some grease

Thanks so much for the info
Would a regular propane torch work or need to use MAP gas?
A propane cutting torch would probably work. Basically as long as you can get it hot enough to reform the hinge insert. We use oxygen/acetylene.

Can you show us how to remove the lettering
Yep, because everybody has a torch in the garage
Amazing
Just a heads up for anyone buying a used container beware of a place called Container One.
Why?
@@RobertHinkle-ju6iz They delivered a real piece of crap to me it was heavily damaged and they wouldn't make it right.
Before doing loads of work, make sure your container is level and square...
just sayin
A world of OSHA violations.

Stiff cok for a wet box.
