Please leave a timestamp for town/suburb and hashtag - points of interests or landmarks along the route in your comments.
    Use Hashtag #nameofplace [ example of timestamp / hashtag - 0:00:01 #australia] .
    Thank you.

Good to see the old railway water towers are still standing along the line, some of them like the one at Mingary and the one at Cockburn for example could use a bit of restoration work so people can see what products people used to buy, for instance, you can still buy Amgoorie tea, so I think that the logo wants a bit of a touch up on the tank at Mingary.

I think they are fantastic historical markers.

Several years ago I was on a trip to Adelaide with some friends, when we stopped at Olary to use the toilets I discovered that they were blocked and full of used toilet paper rolls, the general store across the road has been left empty for a long time and that there are only a few people living in the town, same as in Manna Hill, and as a result of not having a general store means that nobody can buy petrol in those two towns, you would have to fuel up at Yunta if you were coming to Broken Hill or fuel up in Broken Hill if you’re going to Adelaide.

I was on my stationery bike exercising following your drive from Broken Hill to Adelaide.
Nice, smooth drive. Just one group of cyclists and not many cars…
I make my own drive videos but never been to the outback yet. I have only seen it from a plane window.
    Thanks for sharing this drive.

The Thackaringa Hills are rugged but scenic just west of Broken Hill.

Have to drive there soon thanks for this video. Really helpful. Main concern was fuel stations.

What about a lap of Australia on National Highway Number 1? That would be a trip you would have to do.

I have covered almost all of Highway Number 1 on East and West Coast. Some stretches left in Queensland, NT and WA.

Thanks for sharing. I plan on doing this trip myself in the near future, only in reverse. Can I ask what size SD card you have in your Navman?
