    Good to see someone is as thorough as I am about this kind of thing. A mechanic who is under a time crunch from his boss would not be as thorough. The cleaning of the mating surfaces, the bolts, etc…. a mechanic at a shop would not do this. Hats off to you for doing things that way and for sharing with us. Best wishes my friend!

    A nice, straightforward video. I appreciate the care you took to clean the oil pan and the bolts with the toothbrush. My son just cleaned out the transmission filter , and did the drain and fill with Toyota ATF type IV . We used 4 quarts. My 2003 Carolla has 330,000 miles. The last ATF change was at 209,000 miles. I have had no issues with the transmission.

    it is about time for you to get some new front tires boss. great video though, i changed it just through the drain plug twice and drove it around between changing it to get as much old fluid as i could out, then i changed the filter, pan gasket and re torqued all the bolts.

    Three questions :
    1.) Do you need to use gasket sealer on the pan gasket to prevent it from leaking ?.
    2.) How long after putting the pan back on do you recheck the bolt torque.
    3.) What kind of cleaner are you using to spray down the transmission body.
    ( Brake cleaner or special cleaner ?? ).
    Thank you for the great video 👍👍👍👍

    • @StyxYRenegade
      @StyxYRenegade 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rubber gasket alone should be enough.
      Iirc, the bolt torque should be just snug. But do it in a crisscross pattern ti get even pressure.
      Brake Clean was what I used
