Nice hacks! You don´t actually need a churner. Pour the heavy cream into a mason jar and shake it, shake it. The heat of the hands and the shaking will separate the butter and buttermilk as quickly as the churner :)

My vote lol is to trim back to like it was after barber trimmed your hair and beard. Your hair still looks trimmed (for now) even as much as it’s grown out. The beard you could easily get an electric trimmer and trim it. If you have already done this next idea, I guess it was a rare video I missed. Sometime could you just tour us around the area in which you live-just some different views in the mountains and also whatever small town(s) might be nearby? I’m not meaning you need to find touristy things to show us (unless there is something of particular interest); I’m thinking it would just give us a better picture of life there and what is typical in that region.
Fresh butter is so delicious. If you don't have a churner you can use a beater or mixer on low to medium setting. I'm going to try the cocoa in my coffee. I don't have a mocha pot but I'm hoping pour over works. I thought the oranges were for aroma. Great fire tip! Do you have some electric clippers? You can control the length of hair easily. ❤🤗

Hi Sara, I like your orange peel tip. I never thought to use them as fire starters....and I also enjoyed making butter. As far as the butter sticking to the wood mold, I thought about beeswax. Carpenters sometimes use it to seal wood from moisture. They heat the wax and rub the wood with a rag. It might be good for preventing butter from sticking to the mold. I'm not sure but might be worth a try...English word for today: Herb (erb) the "H" is silent. Thank you very much.😊

I was just talking about how I noticed Luca's hair growing; I love it as you have it now on the shorter side; for safety better to avoid hair salon/barber shop and may be closed now anyway; as someone said let Sara play with it for trimming a little and for your beard too nice and trimmed. The hair and beard will help to keep warmer with winter, no? Also, I see people keep commenting on Sara's hair; I believe she mentioned her guy is in Milan... I haven't gone to my guy since Dec. almost one year as a risk I think so it grows and grows too. We love your videos! During the autumn/fall here in North America, pumpkin spice is really popular. We've started adding pumpkin spice to our coffee grounds (drip brew) coffee maker to add a different flavour. Also, for Luca, trimmed beard and shorter hair. I would trust Sara to do it. I cut my husband's hair all the time and it turns out most of the time LOL. And finally - love the dried orange peel fire starter. Some time down the road, we plan to have a small wood stove in our camper and this would give a great scent inside.

It's unanimous, the orange peel fire starter even better than my old camping standby, cotton ball - vaseline mix. I'll be packaging my dried orange peel we use routinely as a scented air freshener. So clever, your ideas, you two!
Hey guys, I'm definitely trying your gin recipe. I save orange peels too and add them to tomato sauces and stews. A little bit makes for some nice flavors. Regarding Luca's hair, it would be fun to see him shave it all off. You could get more creative and try some colors as well. He is your canvas!

I am not paid to say this but have been watching for over a year and have learned so much about cooking, history, a different language, and been able to travel virtually to places it might be impossible for an older person to go. These two young people have so much to offer to make your world and mine a better place.
You need to make yourself a wooden sawing horse . It’s very easy to do. Make two X shapes with wood for either end. And attach a piece of wood between the two. It can be rustic , use plenty of nails to make it sturdy. My dad used one for chopping all the firewood in winter. You simply lay the wood through the top of the X ‘S and saw from the middle or the ends. It will save your chairs 😁 Hope this made sense to you. Google if not 😉✌️💕
When Sara cuts your beard & hair...it's fun to watch, then if it doesn't turn out so great, you can always go to the barber. Maybe with some practice she will be able to save you some money from paying the barber. Also you may be wearing a cap for the next several months to stay warm in the mountains through winter so it won't matter about the barber. Great idea with the orange peals for fire starters, thanks for teaching me something new! I think Luca should keep the hair short but grow the beard (keeping it trimmed and not too bushy) for fall and winter and then shave for spring and summer.
Luca you look great but the look deteriorates as you let your beard and hair grow. If I recall correctly Sara did a great job cutting your long hair but it looked even better when you went to a professional hairdresser the next day. If you feel like it you could get your beard trimmed while you are there. I prefer you without the beard altogether. It makes you look younger and your smile shows better. However a short beard is also attractive and keeps your face with better proportions. You should be able to manage your beard yourself but please trim it regularly (or be clean shaven)

I’m going to make the chocolate coffee for sure. We save our orange peels but for candied orange peel. I never thought of them as fire starters. We save our sour milk for pancakes as it’s so good. I love using things that many here in America tend to just throw out. Hate to say it but so many of us have lost the art of using what’s available to enhance our lives. I made a cake from scratch for my students and the comment that she could taste the ingredients made her realize the benefits the science of cooking “real” food.

Here is an idea for you. Put your butter churner on a wet kitchen cloth, and it will not walk around so much. It makes churning sooooo much easier. My lovely mom taught me this trick.

My vote lol is to trim back to like it was after barber trimmed your hair and beard. Your hair still looks trimmed (for now) even as much as it’s grown out. The beard you could easily get an electric trimmer and trim it. If you have already done this next idea, I guess it was a rare video I missed. Sometime could you just tour us around the area in which you live-just some different views in the mountains and also whatever small town(s) might be nearby? I’m not meaning you need to find touristy things to show us (unless there is something of particular interest); I’m thinking it would just give us a better picture of life there and what is typical in that region.
I strongly agree with idea, I think it would be great to see as much of the area as possible during covid.

Fresh butter is so delicious. If you don't have a churner you can use a beater or mixer on low to medium setting. I'm going to try the cocoa in my coffee. I don't have a mocha pot but I'm hoping pour over works. I thought the oranges were for aroma. Great fire tip!
Do you have some electric clippers? You can control the length of hair easily.

Why do you have to bald and remove your mustache and beard ?? Balding your hair is not good especially in this cold and chilled weather ! Nature created hair to protect our scalp from all sorts of weather !

We had a huge pine tree fallen a few years ago we started cutting it up for fire wood and found it full of huge grubs the woodpeckers went nuts and gobbeled them up as fast as they could

Great time for Sara to practice cutting your hair💇♂️, my husband kept having me cut his hair. I would watch TH-cam videos on men's hair cuts and then cut his hair. After a few months, I felt confident. Friends that are barbers even give me👍 I now cut my teenage son hair too, saves 💵
Love a very short beard for winter, however super handsome clean shaven. Cut hair for sure but don’t shave off. Ok that my opinion. Intro a little corny. Strange thumbnail. Hi Sara, I like your orange peel tip. I never thought to use them as fire starters....and I also enjoyed making butter. As far as the butter sticking to the wood mold, I thought about beeswax. Carpenters sometimes use it to seal wood from moisture. They heat the wax and rub the wood with a rag. It might be good for preventing butter from sticking to the mold. I'm not sure but might be worth a try...English word for today: Herb (erb) the "H" is silent. Thank you very much.😊

I was just talking about how I noticed Luca's hair growing; I love it as you have it now on the shorter side; for safety better to avoid hair salon/barber shop and may be closed now anyway; as someone said let Sara play with it for trimming a little and for your beard too nice and trimmed. The hair and beard will help to keep warmer with winter, no? Also, I see people keep commenting on Sara's hair; I believe she mentioned her guy is in Milan... I haven't gone to my guy since Dec. almost one year as a risk I think so it grows and grows too. Please be kind as I'm sure Sara would love her time too for spa and salon but these are not normal days we are living through..... We love your videos! During the autumn/fall here in North America, pumpkin spice is really popular. We've started adding pumpkin spice to our coffee grounds (drip brew) coffee maker to add a different flavour. Also, for Luca, trimmed beard and shorter hair. I would trust Sara to do it. I cut my husband's hair all the time and it turns out most of the time LOL. And finally - love the dried orange peel fire starter. Some time down the road, we plan to have a small wood stove in our camper and this would give a great scent inside.

My wife and I discussed and we propose :) Keep the beard trimmed close. Without trimming, the beard makes your face look too long. The hair is a good length but needs to be a bit shorter on the sides.

It's unanimous, the orange peel fire starter even better than my old camping standby, cotton ball - vaseline mix. I'll be packaging my dried orange peel we use routinely as a scented air freshener. So clever, your ideas, you two!
Hey guys, I'm definitely trying your gin recipe. I save orange peels too and add them to tomato sauces and stews. A little bit makes for some nice flavors. Regarding Luca's hair, it would be fun to see him shave it all off. You could get more creative and try some colors as well. He is your canvas!

I am not paid to say this but have been watching for over a year and have learned so much about cooking, history, a different language, and been able to travel virtually to places it might be impossible for an older person to go. These two young people have so much to offer to make your world and mine a better place.
You need to make yourself a wooden sawing horse . It’s very easy to do. Make two X shapes with wood for either end. And attach a piece of wood between the two. It can be rustic , use plenty of nails to make it sturdy. My dad used one for chopping all the firewood in winter. You simply lay the wood through the top of the X ‘S and saw from the middle or the ends. It will save your chairs 😁 Hope this made sense to you. Google if not 😉✌️💕
When Sara cuts your beard & hair...it's fun to watch, then if it doesn't turn out so great, you can always go to the barber. Maybe with some practice she will be able to save you some money from paying the barber. Also you may be wearing a cap for the next several months to stay warm in the mountains through winter so it won't matter about the barber. Great idea with the orange peals for fire starters, thanks for teaching me something new! I think Luca should keep the hair short but grow the beard (keeping it trimmed and not too bushy) for fall and winter and then shave for spring and summer.
Luca you look great but the look deteriorates as you let your beard and hair grow. If I recall correctly Sara did a great job cutting your long hair but it looked even better when you went to a professional hairdresser the next day.
If you feel like it you could get your beard trimmed while you are there. I prefer you without the beard altogether. It makes you look younger and your smile shows better. However a short beard is also attractive and keeps your face with better proportions.
You should be able to manage your beard yourself but please trim it regularly (or be clean shaven)
I think let Sara trim your hair back and have a shave. Will keep you going through the winter months. Then you can decide what you like 😎
Good video, and you know we are all bored. Lol 😃 btw my mother would make butter with milk from our farm and use cake mixer until it started to separate and then squeeze by hand until all the liquid was out and you were left with butter, so good.

I’m going to make the chocolate coffee for sure. We save our orange peels but for candied orange peel. I never thought of them as fire starters. We save our sour milk for pancakes as it’s so good. I love using things that many here in America tend to just throw out. Hate to say it but so many of us have lost the art of using what’s available to enhance our lives. I made a cake from scratch for my students and the comment that she could taste the ingredients made her realize the benefits the science of cooking “real” food.

Of course is up to you, Luca, but I would suggest keeping your hair and beard through the cold weather and then cut them when the weather starts warming up. Loved the orange peel fire starters.
Here is an idea for you. Put your butter churner on a wet kitchen cloth, and it will not walk around so much. It makes churning sooooo much easier. My lovely mom taught me this trick.
