    HELLO BEAUTY-FILLED ONES ❤️❤️ It is amazing to us that you have posted multiple videos per week for so many years now and even more so, it is extremely courageous of you to choose to step back a little, while you tend to life and your needs. We have debated going from 1 to 2+ videos per week for a while, but keep holding back to preserve our sanity and help keep us in the present moment as much as we can. 1 video per week is a nice balance, and we hope it helps give you the time and mental and emotional space you both need. We love you and hope this comment helps you not feel so alone tucked away in your Italian winter wonderland ❤️❤️ Brittany and Drew

    Dear Sara and Luca, You are doing the right thing! Maybe once a week is also too much, and maybe the second Sunday of every month will be better. You won't lose your online friends. We will still be here when you are ready to devote time to more frequent videos. Just take care of yourselves; sleep in; relax; and get caught up with your lives and all your projects. Remember that all of us are going through the challenges of the pandemic lockdown, too, wherever, we are in the world. We understand completely! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Please know that we appreciate your open hearts and the way you share your many gifts with us. You are both a blessing in this world! We love you and want you to take this time you need for yourselves! The Italian word for today should be COMPASSION. 💙💙💙

      Just the right way ... we all have to slow down in these times and can not manage to do all things we want to do at the same time. Slow down and do one thing after the other - and start to enjoy every step that you have done to make your home more cozy and to make your brain free of jobs to do ... I'm shure your online community agrees in just seen one video a week if it's less stress for you!

    Brings tears to my eyes as I realize how much you two mean to me and for all of us in our lives. It isn't easy living with a constant sense of stress, intensity, even fear at times (speaking for myself). We love you and are with you and behind you all the way. Take care, be gentle with yourself, one-by-one, step-by-step you will accomplish all you need to do no doubt as you're amazing, hard working people. I hope in Feb. Sara is able to get great help with the migraines too. Never doubt that we will not leave you and will miss you but will look forward to Sundays with you. Much love always Sara and Luca! ❤️

    Suggestion for heater: Luigi has a diesel tank already. You can eliminate the extra tank and tap into the existing fuel line.

    • @erich6590
      @erich6590 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      These heaters barely use any fuel. Plus the air for combustion is drawn from outside and the exhaust is also vented outside. They are knock offs of Eberspacher heaters. Very common in RVing and Europe.

    • @sheilamay5607
      @sheilamay5607 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Tap into the existing fuel tank but don’t run the feed pipe to the bottom. Run it 3/4 of the way down. This way the heater can’t empty your fuel tank.

    • @Andrefourie1964
      @Andrefourie1964 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That diesel heater should run with agri diesel (no vat) to save cost. However storage for refill and actual position of heater tank are questions. An alu box installation at the outside one of the rear doors for both might be an answer. Is what I would have done.
      I have a diesel heater installed inside the the passsenger base seat in my van.
      If this option is your final decision, you will lose zero space also zero diesel smell, along with space for carriage of your little 5l backup.
      Always a very big thumbs up!! 😉😁👌💜

    • @Bajatrvlr
      @Bajatrvlr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just what I was thinking... if you don’t want to possibly run out of fuel, you can tap into the tank a few inches above the existing tap, but these heaters use so little fuel I wouldn’t bother... just tap into the main line. Problem solved.

    • @richbrendagandy1061
      @richbrendagandy1061 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Oh, this might be the type of modification they cannot make to the van??? He said earlier they had to be able to remove all add-ons to the van... Italian regulation. I’m wondering if this falls into that category.

    Hey guys , some advice my Dad gave me when we did a renovation on our kitchen a few years ago . Don’t focus on the whole project each day , only focus on the job to get done each day . Break it down into each job or task . The mess will be gone soon when your Reno’s are done . Stay positive and remember it will all better in the end !!! My kitchen turned out great in the end .

  • @timlubbers2884

    Try to put the heater under the passenger seat and duct the air into the living space, then you won't have to hear it running at night, then tap into the vans fuel line and you won't have the smell and an extra tank to keep filled...you also won't loose living space ...
    Stammi bene bella gente!👊

      Driver compartment totally separated from back with metal bulkhead. Not a walk through van.

    • @davethornewell7417
      @davethornewell7417 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with Tim, you already have to cut some holes in the van, just cut a hole in the cab rear bulkhead to run the heat outlet pipe to. Is there room under the bonnet, to mount the fuel tank to, so you don't get a smell of diesel in the cab, because you need to access the fuel filler pipe and if you spill any fuel, unlike petrol, diesel doesn't evaporate

      @davethornewell7417 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@timlubbers2884 Why I mentioned about the separate tank for the heater, I don't know if the law is the same in Italy, but in the UK, technically, you should be able to power the heater on red diesel, which is untaxed as it is being used as a heating fuel, not to power the vehicle, which is taxable.

      The heater I watched a camper man he is the experimental type of guy. Use to live in an A frame trailer, now just a small camper he is refurbishing. Like he refurbished the one seat into a shower and toilet and I think back to a seat. All that to say he tested the diesel heater said it ticked through the night. He put a barrier to protect the exhaust system but not to close the floor. Outside. Also the heater inside needs a vent or after
      4-8 hours it will shut off. I was intrigued with his experiment. He bought a heat thermometer tester to make sure that everything was running right and nothing was overheating that shouldn't be Trent was able to get one at a hardwood store unless you know someone in the orange area that has one you could borrow of your neighbors or your car friend? That is so you can check and make sure on your first trips that if heater even in the driveway in the van is working or what adjustments need made so when on the road you won't need to make them. I think he said when you turn it on but that was why he made sure he made a good venting system. I wish I could remember the guys name. Whether he is from Canada or Europe I don't remember or even Sweden. I don't remember. Trying not to have my own shut down.😉

The clear space grows piece by piece, & eventually it’s the most satisfying feeling! I’ve been working on my garage at home, it’s also still a mess! It can be emotional to part with things. Ok, but please keep that marble topped dresser - it could be used in your living room as a buffet (remove the mirror). I would at least list all the good stuff on Facebook Marketplace. Can it all be placed for availability on One Single Day? Maybe set it all up under the gazebo the day before sale. Just cover it.

    For sure mount tank outside of living area, also make sure heater has good ventilation around heater element, mounting tank on back door would work well. If you install tank on outside you can get a tank that is pleasing to the eye but it will be outside of living area.you could cover it with a cover that doesn’t show it is a tank. Just one task at a time. Not all in one task,, you are on track with your list! Keep looking up not down😂😂😂
    God Bless❤️❤️❤️

    Some thoughts on this episode:
    1. Clutter: Don't begin any new projects that cause you to bring home more stuff until you go through a thorough de-cluttering. You need to "Marie Kondo" one room at a time. Getting things to a manageable level may require you to donate or discard a LOT of usable things, but if they are just sitting around using space, they are of zero use. You can always get what you need later.
    2. Floors: Those floors may be old-fashioned, but wow - they say "Italy." You can't find that level of quality in today's construction. Embrace your floors and avoid another project! Get your money back on that wood flooring!
    3. Heater: Don't kill yourselves! We want future videos! :-) Carbon Monoxide is a VERY real risk, so please make sure you check out your installation plan with someone knowledgable before you move forward.
    4. Furniture: Like the floors - wow!! Those pieces looks like classic, high-quality furniture! They remind me of the fixtures at your nonno's apartment - very stately! Keep those pieces and just display some modern items on them. Eclectic style that embraces the past is much more interesting. You'll see this when you get older. I wish I had kept some old pieces I once had.
    5. Posting Frequency: Makes sense! Two episodes a week must be a grind. I'm happy we'll still get to spend time with you guys once a week, - or even 1x every two weeks if necessary to maintain your sanity.
    Fino a quando ci incontriamo di nuovo!

      I totally agree with all these recommendations. That heater will be too much for your small space. Also if Louigi is diesel other vans have used that reservoir. I think taking a month off would not hurt this channel. Others do similar this time of year. Above all self care first. This year has been such a struggle for a long time and who knows how much longer.

    One day at a time, one project to focus on, I can not chew gum and run when I’m over come by stress. Put if I slowed down to focus on one step of 1,000 steps. I can handle it very well. I have built many houses and businesses in my 61 years. Get one thing done right, then move on to step 2 of the 1000. Before you know it your be done with step 999 and have a life at the same time.

    Smart move. I am in a similar situation after basically putting my life on hold to be a caregiver for a number of years. Tackling years of paperwork and put-off tasks is no fun, but you have to do it to get a fresh start. Once a week is more than enough for those that really love you. Good luck.

    I am so glad that you have one another. Since I am retired & living alone on a very limited income, I had to sell my home more than 2 years ago & purchase a smaller home. But, I didn’t have time to downsize my belongings. So, I have a 2 car garage filled from top to bottom with boxes. I have been overwhelmed ever since I moved here, so I totally understand what you are going through. I also didn’t know where to start & being by myself I have been very frustrated. I have begun to get rid of things, but I still have a long way to go. I am the type of person that hates to do things alone & I like being motivated by someone that could help & direct me. So, you guys are really blessed to have one another to encourage one another! You are both in my prayers each & everyday🙏🏼 I pray that the Lord will direct your paths, may God bless you both🙏🏼👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻🙏🏼

      It really doesn't matter. This is diesel...not gas. It is very common for the tank to be mounted close to the unit. In fact, they sell all in one units where the tank and heater all all one piece.

    Consider tapping into your existing fuel tank. Or underneith the van, but you will need to get a metal case to protect it. If you decide to have it inside your van, don't have it to close to the heater as they get very hot, make sure you have a large hole for air intake. Health & Safety must be the priority, stay safe you lovely couple. Love watching your videos x

    Have you watched “Slim Potatoheads,” installation of his heater? In his last heater installation vlog, he was running the unit outside to help illuminate some of the noise and odor. Maybe, that could help with space, because you won’t always need to take it on your journeys.
