Nah, Kings Canyon is just a shit map. Everyone knows that Snipers used to be super OP in high level ranked until they were finally nerfed. Now that shit is back on the campiest and third party happiest map imaginable. I got sniped by 6 3-stack sniper squads at once in one game.
Or maybe it’s the combination of charge rifle spam being easier to justify, the map being reworked to reward sniper positions, a new sniper legend with good escape and a slightly nerfed Longbow with stacking damage as an ult, snipers already being a mid-tier option, and the Volt returning alongside laser sight implementation to make backup weapons easier to build than ever. Oh and let’s not forget Storm Point’s central terrain still being massive kill zones with next to no cover and a massive overall size, right as round 1 ring becomes exponentially more deadly.

I’m really enjoying this season. To be fair, last season set a low bar in that aspect. But it far exceeded my expectations, the map update to KC and Vantage. As to all the pros whingeing about the time to kill, now they know how it feels to go up against them - someone who plays the game for a living.
Season has been an aboslute blast so far. Vantage is amazing, the meta is great since I feel like I'm not using the same guns every game. Sniper meta isn't so bad since I anticipated it, plus in my lobbies at least, sniper users usually get violated at close range so easy wins. Ranked has been fun so far but I hope randoms don't let me down when I get to plat since ranked on KC requires more precision plays to avoid a third party disaster. It's pretty wild since this is kind of a filler season since it's shorter and big things are expected for season 15. Besides the battlepass being a bit boring I think this season is gonna be a memorable one for me.

Kings Canyon is incredible I missed it so much and now it is back with a vengeance! People complaining about 3rd 4th and 5th parties need to remember that you're not supposed to just shoot every single enemy you see as soon as you see them. Positioning and timing will always matter most I love tracking a squad for a little bit until they bump into another squad and start getting fired on. My team and I will wait until both squads are weak and then use our good position to get 4+ kills without taking damage and still being in a good place to combat the 4th party when they inevitably come
Stormpoint is worse than kings, I played 5 games in a row that I landed and the first zone was on the other side of the map. Felt more like a running sim than a br.
