Grah Pravesh - The weloming of the bride to her new home. This ceremony takes place at Groom's home where the mother gives the new couple a warm welcome. Some old rituals are perfomed here in the presence of the whole family.

Nice weeding
everybody is appreciating culture but nobody is thinking about the bride, her heavy jewellery and uncomfortable wedding dress, she has to keep on moving here and there following tradition but the groom is groom just move without doing anything. It shows that only the women should do such boring rituals. Im not a feminist though. Just shared the feeling
The Poshaks which means a lot for us as we have to wear it on many other occasions so it must be best! That's the only thing a bride thinks at the time of Wedding! And the jewellery no women hates to wear it!
Because our society is unfortunately patriarchal. It has always given better importance to the male child/men; brothers, fathers, husbands and sons. Rituals therefore have been created with the same ideology. It has been happening for centuries, and most of us follow it even today without giving much thought to the significance. Some things are so deeply ingrained in our culture that change seems impossible..I'm cool with the idea of following rituals, but a bit of equality shouldn't hurt :)

accha laga dekh kar hum delhi mein rehte hain aur same ye sabhi riwaaj hamare yahan aaj bhi hote hain aur ye bartan jo dulha side kar raha hai wo dulhan k mayke se hote hain aur dulhe k sath gaana gaa kar mazaak bhi kiya jata hai jab dono ko naapte hain just like dulha chhota dulhan badi kuch aisa hi anyway nice video aur mein comments bhi pad raha tha is video par kuch logo k jinko bohot problem hoti hai ye sab karne mein jinko ye rasmein boring lagti hain aise hi logo k ghr bhi nahi baste aur always family disputes bhi hote hain sirf ek insaan hi pure ghr ka maahol bigaad deta hai kya ho jayega agar hum ek din thoda cooperate karlenge to in sabhi rasmon se bado ka aashirwaad milta hai aur kitne emotions jude hote hain sabhi family members k but kuch log sirf apne baare mein sochte hain unka comfort zone nahi jana chahiye bas selfish people

Ma'am is ritual ko varfer ya juhar bolte hai . Isme nazar utari jati hai aur agar seedhe ye paise handover kar de to mana jata hai ki nazar saamne wale ko chali jati hai . So that is why the money is not Directly handover to someone. 😊🙏

I'm a Bengali guy n see our grooms also wear these heavy type dress jewelleries
Frst when our new wedd couple entry frst take their Aarti and then the girl entering with her left leg in a aalta (liquid sindur which is colouring on leg)n thn the girls are entering
N then the girls go to kitchen n then take a live fish with their own hands it's a very difficult task
N then they go to room of then mother-in-law room their also a such ritual her mother-in-law burn a gas and they take a milk in mud pot n thn all ladies are say to the weddy girl that she see the milk if the milk is fall frm the pot thn the groom very very good n is that not fallen thn they are good
N then groom go to a their bedroom then their was a copper big tray where their a milk in the pot n the groom give their ring into the pot n then the searching it if boy is search frst then the boy very smart 😎
N if the girl is search frst then she is very smart😂

In bengali . Griha pravesh is bodhu boron..the bride is shown boiling and oozing milk outside the home and asked what is she looking at..the bride has to say ..sasuma ka dhan sampatti prosperity bhar bhar k bahar aa raha h..in some parts .there is a ritual that the bride has to catch koi fish..which is slippery and difficult to hold..it symbolises how well can she tackle the household..then she is given a ghadha filled with gangajal and dhaan(paddy)..very similar how devi lakshmi looks like..and holding all those ..the bride enters with her alta smeared footprints on a white cloth..which is later floated in ganga..

That is called sevra in rajasthani language. It is tied at the time of pheras at bride's house and untied at groom's house.
