Those destinations were interesting! Thanks for uploading this video.
Colombia is waiting for you guys. I'm so happy right now, this proves that people is starting to change their thoughts about Colombia just because of the peace deal. If you come here i hope you visit Cartagena, Parque Tayrona, Medellín, Bogotá and many other destinations, i have always loved your videos but i would love your channel even more if you make some videos of my country :)
Eastern Europe is also very underrated ---> Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lettonia, Romania really worth it too! It stays really cheap but they are more and more developped and oppened! Let's subtitle this video!
Went to Poland last year, I'm definitely coming back! What a breath taking country and the people are amazingly nice! For me is one of the top countries of Europe.
+Belen Samaoya thank you :)
You guys will love Colombia!!... My husband is American and I am Colombian and I took him to Colombia for the first time two months ago and he loved it!!! Now he wants to go back every year!
My favorite travel destination in 2017 is Lisbon, Portugal. Great food. Friendly people. Very affordable. Go before everyone discovers!
Yes for Colombia! I spent four months over there last year and I must say this country has a lot to offer. So rich in nature, culture and people.
Great video! Got some travel inspiration. Cuba is a must asap! In Europe Croatia has been an up and coming destination for few years but is beginning to blow up so head to Montenegro or Albania! Basically similar beaches and nature but cheaper prices and less tourists.
Just gotta say I love the way you guys went about this list!!! So helpful, and it's so refreshing to hear unique travel ideas rather than the same old token vacation spots. Much appreciation for this vid.
Love that you two are informed about what's going on in the world whilst making this video. Solid content :)
+Ash Ley we do our best Ash. Thanks for your comment. Make sure you have notifications enabled, tons of great stuff coming your way this year :)
I totally agree with you guys on Cuba! Being a Canadian, I have been able to freely travel there. Havana is amazing, and the people are wonderful no matter where you go. People give freely and do not expect anything in return. If you want total relaxation with nothing to do but lie on talcum powder beaches, head straight to Cayo Coco and to Pilar. You guys will have a blast!!
Can't wait to get on with my travels this year. Heading to Japan and the Philippines in march-april then off to London, Scotland, maybe Ireland and quick stop in Copenhagen in july. LET'S GO!!!!!🚗🚆🛥🛫
If you ever would like to.... make a video explaining basic currency in popular nations! Like the difference between pounds and Euro's and which countries use what currency, etc.
I'M FROM NICARAGUA!!! AND THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!
I also recommend Bosnia & Herzegovina as a great place to visit! It's safe, cheap, full of beautiful nature, history, and culture. Plus, it isn't super packed with tourists yet, so you don't have to worry about too many crowds :)
Some places I recommend to visit are:
Sarajevo (the capital), Mostar (with the iconic old bridge), Blagaj (with a dervish monastery and the herceg stjepan fortress), Kravice waterfalls, the village of Pocitelj, the Srebrenik fortress (Bosnia is full of castles but this one is probably my favorite because of the view), Prokosko lake, Travnik, Jajce (one of my *favorites*! - dont miss the medieval fortress and mithras temple), Štrbački buk waterfalls in the Una national park, Rama lake, Blidinje nature park, Neum (on the sea), Medjugorje (a catholic pilgrimage site), Mogorjelo (remains of a Roman villa), Radimlja (a necropolis of huge medieval tombstones), Trebinje, Stolac (with yet another fortress and many historic buildings), Konjic (has great rafting and Tito's bunker from the Yugoslav era), Lukomir (a medieval village which is the highest altitude and most remote village in the country), Sutjeska national park, Bjelasnica mountain near Sarajevo (where the '84 olympics were held).
As you can see, there are a lot of places worth visiting there, but most of the tourists go to Sarajevo and Mostar, and they miss out on most of these other places. Bosnia's an undiscovered gem in Europe, but the tourism in the country has been rapidly growing. It's a pretty small country too, so it wouldn't take a long time to see many of these places :)
As a whole, I think the Balkans are a great place to visit, and many of the countries there are still "off the beaten path" in Europe (except for Greece obviously). There's Slovenia and Croatia, which have been seeing a lot of tourists lately. But there's also Montenegro and Albania (which both have beautiful beaches).
Thanks for the Canada shout out boys! Just a quick add, it's our 150th anniversary as a country this year, so anyone who comes around end of June/early July is going to be rewarded with some awesome party and bbq times! Huge fans of yours, and I always stay curious.
I am heading to South Korea in the summer and I would recommend that everyone visits outside of Seoul, I will be flying to Jeju an island of the the south coast to explore beyond the bustling city and learn more about the culture and see the natural side of the country, so glad you mentioned South Korea as it's not somewhere travellers think about when choosing destinations
Don't forget Mexico, our neighbor to the south. Been there several times. Beautiful beaches, great food, affordable and friendly natives
Just got back from a trip to Montreal and Quebec city. I was amazed at how much I loved it. definetly one of my favorite destinations and already wanna return!
If you guys are looking at traveling to West Africa I recommend Ghana. I was there last summer working for an NGO and it was amazing. The coast is beautiful and Ghanaian people are extremely friendly. Cape Coast, Elmira, and Kakum National park are top of the list for regions to visit there.
I got goosebumps when you mentionned senegal!!! Woohooooo!! Im from there and just like you guys i wanna travel all over the world. Senegal is country of hospitality!! Ths for visiting!!!
I went to Japan in April and I loved it so much. I went to the snow monkey park too :D The food was amazing, the people were incredibly friendly and polite, and there were a million interesting things to see...I definitely want to go back. This year I am traveling to Poland! Just discovered this channel when doing research on how to pack and very glad I found it :)
+bambams87 Jealous! Thanks for subscribing!
Oman was my favorite county to visit! Went there about 3/4 years ago. Didn't know what to expect, didn't know what I was getting myself into but it was amazing, had a lovely stay.
Also ended my trip in Abu Dhabi / Dubai for the people that are planning a trip there, loved the mixture of those two
Guys, i'm from Wales and if you come here I recommend going to The Brecon Beacons (South wales), Snowdonia National park (climb mount Snowdon, beautiful views on a clear day) and Portmeirion (which are in North Wales). If you have 12 days or so spare walk from South to North Wales along Offas dyke path. Lots of interesting things to see along the way. Also the pembrokeshire coast is very nice. Have a good trip
+bigbad123321 awesome! Thanks for the tips, we are going to a few of the places you've recommended. Where is your favorite place in Wales?
I love the way you approach your destination. Thanks for not ignoring the terrorism eliments that people are really concerned about. I appreciate you guys. Travel safe!!!
+TheBrittanyadams2010 thank you for the comment. We appreciate your feedback. Stay tuned much more on the way (vlogs, how to, top 10 and more, turn on notifications 🙌🏼)
Hey guys, so I have a vlog channel that's I am starting up. I really want to become a travel vlogger and go all over the place. I really want to explore new areas and see what the world really has to offer in different cultures. I found you two on TH-cam about a week ago and have binge watching your videos. I can not wait to explore.
Excited for you guys to go to Cuba (and Japan)! Always wanted to go to these places and it'll be great to see it through your eyes before I can get out there myself :)
Very good choices Vagabrothers!
Batanes, Panglao and El Nido are a must see places in the Philippines!
YEIIIII COLOMBIAA!! I watch all of your videos and i cant wait for the colombian vlog!!! You're gonna love my country for sure!!!
I've been in Cuba this summer...Perfect choice, you are gonna love it. Can't wait to see the videos, so many memories :)
I'm from Seychelles but currently studying in Europe. In two weeks I'm back home for the holidays. Yeeeeeey
Yes! England! Manchester is my home! The north is massively overlooked for travel. South Korea is a amazing, most complicated tube system I've ever seen though. ✌🏼️great vid! Cheers!
Baja California is one of the most underrated travel destinations on the planet --> Guerrero Negro in the winter to pet baby whales, Valle de Guadalupe for world class wineries (you guys know that already), incredible SCUBA diving, some of the best fishing in the world, etc. etc.
I appreciate the considerations you made when deciding on destinations. Definitely basing my plans off this. Great video clips!
I'm spending my birthday in the Philippines this year! I can't wait, looks like such a beautiful country
Love the video guys, as always! xx French girl studying abroad in Australia and currently backpacking Tasmania!
Thanks for all the great new places and reasons to visit each one this this year. Very informative.
It's Peru and hopefully Thailand/Philippines for me this year. Went to Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto) in November and it was without a doubt my best trip to date!
Can confirm, Quebec is wild, and for english speakers nearly everyone in MTL (at least in the service industry) speaks just fine
Vancouver Canada best place I've ever been except Ireland of course
+Moe Gormley Vancouver is dope! Wanna go back so bad!
Moe Gormley .... Why Vancouver?
Moe Gormley I love vancouver it was amazing! You have to find the right things to do there and was super expensive but was worth it.
Cuba is an amazing country. I traveled there in 2015. It is definitely worth going!
Great video guys! You've given us some potential places to visit in 2017!!! Safe travels!
Fantastic! They are all incredible. I just started following you guys so haven't really seen much of where you both have been, but if you haven't already, Iceland and Dubai. Tourism in Iceland is not high so the many natural sights and springs are seemingly untouched and they are stunning! Look forward to following your adventures, Cheers!
These are all really great choices! Most of them are on my bucket list! Thanks for helping me to add a few new ones! Hopefully, I'll run into you guys at one of these amazing places!
Egypt is such a beautiful destination too. If you don't like history like the temples or the pyramids. It has AMAZING beaches and a white and black desert!
10/10 would recommend
Was so happy to see the Philippines is part of your list! Best beaches are El Nido, Palawan; Coron, Palawan; Boracay can be crowded and commercialized but it's still something to experience; Siargao for surfing; Zambales, Baler and La Union are more accessible surf spots from Manila; Hiking/Trekking spots would be Sagada, Banaue Rice Terraces and Mt. Pulag. Batanes is a charming island to visit altogether. It's the most northern part of the archipelago. Historical/ Cultural spots would be Intramuros which is in Manila, Corregidor which is a WWII military base, and Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan. I hope your plans to come and visit here follow through! Happy traveling this 2017!
My 2017 Travel Bucket list:
Australia - New Zealand - Japan - Quebec, Canada - Norway & Danemark - Singapore - Dubai
what yours ??
StephTheCoolKid I live in Denmark :)
StephTheCoolKid Australia is AMAZING! I went to Perth. It was SOOOO worth it.
StephTheCoolKid come to nz it’s very under rated and don’t just go to north island explore south as well
Great video! I have to agree with you Quebec City is awesome, one of the best meals I ever had was at L'Affaire Est Ketchup, only nine tables in the whole place and the owners make the food. I'm planning on heading up to Copenhagen this month, as well as going to Romania to see Dracula's Castle and hang with a friend (she's from that area). Can't wait to travel more this year!
Great vid guys, for Europe I think that Iceland is a great ideia too
Such great destinations! I have a lot of them on my travel bucket list. I went to Seoul last year and I loved it! I would love to go back to South Korea and explore it more. But for 2017 my plan is traveling around the UK.
Notification squad ftw.
Great vid guys
+Cristian Sandoval yeah! TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS PEOPLE!!! Haha
Totally agree with Nicaragua! I was just there in October and it was amazing, definitely need to go back!
Nicaragua is always a good idea!! - Alex
I'm going to Japan in May of this year! I am so excited, I'll be visiting Tokyo, Hiroshima and Kyoto.
woohoo PHILIPPINES! thank you brothers.. looking forward you guys visiting us.
Yes Colombia! you'll have an amazing experience, enjoy!
we just came back from Philippines and we really love it ! we will travel there again for sure !!🏝🐾😃
Ahhh so excited that you want to visit my homeland of Nicaragua! I hope you go back and enjoy it!❤❤❤
Hey! If you are considering Senegal make sure to check out Cape Verde! It's a really small country made out of a bunch of little islands located near the coast of Senegal. There are beaches for days and the people are lovely! My mom is from there so I'm 100% biased but still, I've been there 3 times and I have always adored it!!!
Awesome video guys! So many great recommendations that I wouldn't have thought of. :) I'll keep this video in mind when I start travelling to further away places for sure. And for this year in the summer: roadtripping week planned in Scotland (that I'm gonna vlog on top of that haha) :D
ツ
Scotland is amazing!!!!
Do it! I recommend Inverness!!!
I'll be going to Catania to work with refugees. I am very excited. It will be my first European trip. I don't think I'll be doing much traveling other than that for a while.
Yay!! South East Asia is a always top 10 destinations every year for travellers!! No doubt..Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc! 👍👍
Looking forward to your 2017 travels😍
I am actually hitting Norway this year. Never been and excited to explore. I'm also planning on visiting Western Canada. Especially since it's the 150th birthday of Canada and entrance to their parks are free!
Japan was fantastic. Did Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, and Oksaka. Way more affordable than people make it out to be.
You guys need to visit Armenia! It's a tiny hidden country in the Caucas region, full of history and rich culture. Why visit now? Because it's still unspoiled by crowds of mass tourism and also pretty inexpensive! Would love to see you there!
I always vote for Poland! I'd love to meet you :)
Cool list guys! :) I am actually traveling through the Philippines in February/March! Very exited :)
Excited for you! I hope you'll have an awesome experience!
i'm heading to sydney in may for a year long (: and u have planned going to thailand and philipines afterwards, keep making videos guys you are an inspiration ❤🌏
You just got a new subscriber by playing music from Samurai Champloo (plus I love to travel). Well done.
Cheers!
+Daniel Badger Cheers Daniel!! Glad to have you on the team!!
Awesome list! I would really recommend giving Iran a go! I went backpacking there during Ramadan last year and it was amaaazing! Super (!!) friendly locals, lots of fairly unexplored places and the food is next level tasty! And they also do a 30-day visa on arrival now so you don't have to go through any of the hustle of visiting embassies and filling out tons of pappers!
Definitely try Goa, India for the end of your 2017 travel year (December is the best time)! I can see you two already strolling down the beaches!
Heading to Tokyo in February! Second time visiting and I'm super excited! :)
I highly recommend Burma! It's a beautiful country and it's better to travel there soon as it will likely develop and become very touristy in the near future
I have been binge watching all your videos today
+Harriet Thomas That's why you're awesome!
You forgot Taiwan!!! The number of package tourists from China has dropped prodigiously, making it a much more pleasant place to go! Friendly people, very low crime rates, politically stable, easy to get around, great food, and a wide variety of landscapes packed onto a small island. Woefully neglected by Western tourists, who tend to gravitate toward Southeast Asia.
I'll keep that in mind for when I travel to Asia after my studies :D
CNVideos thanks for mentioning Taiwan!! it's really a nice country since it's my hometown. and what you've said is true that after the election, the number of Chinese tourists have dropped and that make Taiwan a more pleasant place to travel ;)
Quebec City is a beautiful city and a great representation of Canada! Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is a must for 2017, Canada's 150th anniversary! It's a beautiful city full of activities and rich in Canadian culture and history. I highly recommend visiting this city!
OMG! Feeling bless!! Going to Japan (Niseko) and Philippines on March! Hope to meet one of you there 🙌🏼
thanks for the video guys!! great destinations! I'm considering Cuba this year!!
You makes our plans all turned upside down, thanks :-) But travel tip for 2017: Puglia, Italy. Is the most south eastern part of Italy, actually the heel of the boot. It's amazing there, natural basic Italian food and lovely coastline and authentic cities like Lecce. We go back there this year on our EU road trip.
Hi! I am Nahoko from Japan. I really like your videos and also it is good material for studing English as well. And I am happy to lithen your top of thebucket list is Japan!! You guys are always welcome and hope you have wonderful travel to here! All the best.
I just had an amazing and inspiring holiday in Laos (Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Bolaven Highlands) and Vietnam's Highlands (Kon Tum). This year I'm hoping to return to SE-Asia for Myanmar/Burma.
Philippines! Check out Siargao Island and yeah Palawan! ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭
Go to KL, Penang, Lankawi of Malaysia, truly Asia. Politically stable and a combo of culture, diverse lifestyle and cuisine.
Thanks for the tip! What should we do there when we go??
If you write things to do in Malaysia, you will see them better than what I can write. One video got almost million views. Some top travel youtuber already been there. Good luck.
vagabrothers
Penang, (specifically Georgetown) has really cool street art, a lot of museums and temples as well as the best food in Malaysia IMO.
Langkawi is a resort island with great beaches, mangrove/cave tours, a cable car that goes up to the highest point on the island, some cool trails and waterfalls, tax free beer. I recommend hiring a moped here as the roads are super scenic and quiet.
KL is just a big SE asian city.
Also the Cameron Highlands are a must visit in Malaysia, amazing scenery with mountains and rolling tea plantations.
I recommend Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪 Fascinating, friendly, very safe. Mountains, beaches, it has it all :)
So happy you said quebec city 😍 my hometown is the best
- Ya, good tip on Cuba. Hoping the old-culture doesn't change to western culture overnight...
Great video! Europe is my destination!
+Linda F thank you Linda :) 🙏🏼
Your welcome! You guys are awesome!
Love these videos! The trust in your recommendations is strong! Looking forward to your Cuba videos to help me decide if I should go there... kinda like I do with all places I want to go: I find a destination that looks cool, then search the Vagabrothers video on it! :)
When are you guys heading to Dominican Republic?! Food, music, incredible biodiversity! I think you guys would have a blast exploring off the beaten path away from the boring resorts!
Alex and Mark are two beautiful people the world needs right now. They describe countries on point and they are transparent with how a country is and even describes the political climate and tips to fit in as tourists.
Best advice ever! Alex:"DO NOT TRY TO SCORE DRUGS IN THE PHILIPPINES!"
I have been watching these siblings with their travel videos and this episode made me subscribe to their channel because their material has great substance and educated content!!! No wonder they get invited to speak for events.
Very good reference points when researching future travel destinations. Well done Mark and Alex! You both are AWESOME!!!
Can you guys make a surfing trip vlog too?! please???
Seoul is one of my favorite places. I was there for two weeks and would have been fine not coming back to the US. And hello? Korean bbq is EVERYWHERE. People are very friendly; it's so affordable and extremely easy to get around. Also, traveled to Busan for a day on the way to Kyoto via boat. Busan had amazing seafood and I ate squirming squid. It was delicious.
i love all the country's, this year is Australia, New Sealand and Singapore on my list!
Great to see some love for West Africa.
Hurray from the Philippines!! If you're looking to come here, avoid the crowded cities. The beaches are pristine! Boracay is too mainstream but still a good place to visit. If you're looking for the best beaches, Palawan is the top pick. For surfing, go to Siargao. The northern part of the country also packs rich Hispanic roots so I recommend visiting Ilocos. Oh and if you want to go mountain hiking, start from Baguio City and it'll lead you to the mountain ranges of Cordillera.
I lived in Wales (Cardiff specifically) for 6 years so have lots of things I can recommend for your trip! :) holla if you want a guided tour of Cardiff!
I survived that 15hr flight from Texas to Brisbane Australia back in 2014 and let me tell you it was miserable XD loved Australia though would go back again
Love that you picked Tasmania! Is my home state and favourite place. You guys should come check it out!
Amazing video guys! Thanks for 2k17 travel destination inspirations! :) Hope to shoot some videos in at least one of them :)))
+umartin good luck with that!!
AWESOME video! Thank you guys!=)
I love this video! Just great!
So glad you recommended Tasmania! Best hiking, beaches, rock climbing, wine/cider and fresh produce in Aus! Have you guys visited?
