    Please remember UPS's are not meant for gaming for hours it just give you time to save your work, close the application and turn off your device safely. In 650w full load this UPS will hardly give you backup time of only 1-2 mins and in 240w it will give you 11 mins as mentioned by APC.

    can we connect 16a or power plug without extension

    • @TechnoShare
      @TechnoShare  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it may not support 16a plug type. The smaller 3 pin plug fits in. Regarding power plug, it depends how much amps you can pull out of the ups. If its any heating device etc, it may just complain of overload and not work.

    Great video in all the aspects. Good cinematography, points well explained, clear audio and sensible audio levels, and all of this objective measurements. I virtually don't know anything about UPSs, so just wanted to know if this UPS can be directly connected to the 3-pin wall socket or needs to be connected to external battery. Needless to say, my doubt has been cleared. As mentioned by others, I too wish your video would have got more views and likes.

    What is ur system PSU Wattage... Iam using a 650watt PSU but my system power consumption is 470 Watts....nd with that a 27 inch monitor of around 50 watt is also connected..... So iam confused about how load is there on my UPS... Its 650+50=700 Or 470+50 520..... Because my UPS is frequently giving a red light alert on its power button nd beeping..... Pls tell. Me if u know

    • @TechnoShare
      @TechnoShare  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi bro.. My PSU is 750w. Its the maximum rated power. During heavy gaming it can reach peak power consumption as the GPU and CPU will be fully loaded. In your case the actual power consumption is 470 + 50. You are almost nearing the max rated power of UPS which is 660w. For me, during heavy gaming, it served backup from battery for 6 mins and UPS got too much heated, as I could smell plastic. My load during the gaming session was around 350 to 400w including monitor. I had to switch off it at that point of time. Check the user manual for the pattern and beep of the light and sound. There are lot of error types. You will be able to find out what might be the cause for it.

      This system is actually a cyber UPS and has a runtime of only 5 to 15 minutes irrespective of which load is there, be it a PC or just an internet modem.
      However, of you want to continue the gaming or wish to switch on the PC and start playing during a power outage, then you need to get a Home UPS.
      Home UPS is the large UPS with a 100 Ah battery. That can help in more efficiency. Besides, if the PC is not run and something else like laptop charger or internet modems are only run, it will last longer.

      Hey there! Sorry, completely missed this comment. I just did a backup test. I used the same PC and tested the backup time in normal mode of UPS (battery saver off), while the computer was idling after 3 mins of booting. Same test was carried out when i made the video.
      After 11 months I now got a backup time of 34 mins 10 sec , compared to 35 mins 35 sec when it was new. Guess the battery is as good as new 😊.
      As said before, I have not drained the battery much, as my home inverter kicks in and provides the power during power failure. Hence this UPS doesn't drain much battery, except for running the cooling fan for 5 mins, located behind the unit, when I turn off the UPS.
      Hope this helps 😃

    Can you please let me know how you feel about this UPS model in 2021? I am planning to buy one soon & want to know if your opinion after 2 years has changed. I would like it to power my Macbook Air and a 21-inch extended display.

    • @TechnoShare
      @TechnoShare  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!
      Yes. Its a good UPS. I have not used backup power much as I have an inverter at home and the UPS never turns on due to this. But inverter takes a bit time (around half a second sometimes ) to switch to on when there is a power cut, And this gap is enough to turn off my pc. During Such times the UPS turns on quickly and provides the backup power and goes back to charging again.
      Battery life is good. Even today it is giving same backup time as earlier. (I did run it on UPS backup fully, some day as inverter ran out of power). Only thing is sometimes the fan turns on (during charging also durian backup). And its slightly noisy. But its fine. I have put it in the power saving mode. The backup time is less in this mode. But the battery will last longer in its life.
      I think even today, this one is the most rated UPS on amazon and i could not find an equally good one on amazon.
      For the spike guard, I have not connected anytime. Have directly plugged the devices at the back of UPS. Its mentioned in the user manual that extension chords and spike guards should not be connected. Not sure why and what the side effects are.
      Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

      Yes. Its a good one still. I did not see any newer model by APC on Amazon. Nor by other companies that can match this. Only con is there is no auto safe shutdown computer via USB or any other means(once the battery drains off fully). Other than that it is working well and running good after more than a year i guess. Does UPS stops earth problems 😅!?
    I live in rental home where earth isn't properly grounded i guess, in my PC everywhere I use tester on metal surface it shows light indicating earth but touching them by hand you won't feel a thing, recently my rtx 3080ti crashed, I'm guessing because of the earth issue or maybe not, so planning to buy ups
    Does UPS save my pc from getting earth?

    • @TechnoShare
      @TechnoShare  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No bro. I. Dont think it can save from earthing issue. I think there is some spike buster types built in that can protect connected equipments from voltage surge and lightning. Even I have same issue of not proper grounding at home. So far I haven't had any problems.
      As per my opinion, rtx crashing may not be due to this issue.

      If you are referring to software connectivity over pc, then this does not support that. If you are referring to connecting pc for power backup, then just plug the power cable of your pc and the monitor into the back of the UPS. And the power cable of UPS to the AC mains. You should be all set!

    I have 750 watt PSU (Ryzen 7 3800x and 3080)
    I stream while playing games, there are frequent powercuts (just for few minutes) should I get it?

    • @TechnoShare
      @TechnoShare  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! Even mine is a 750W PSU. Intel, i7. with 1080Ti Nvidia GPU. My gaming experience on 1080p, max settings, gave around 6 mins of backup time. UPS got hot, hence I switched off at the end of 6 mins. But anyway, the battery was almost over by that time. Power consumption was roughly around 300W to 400W, including the 27 inch monitor. Perhaps you may want to estimate your total power consumption during gaming, as your GPU may be little power hungry. If it is within the rated power of 660W, then it will work for you. But you may want to think on the backup time of less than 6-7 mins. Hope this helps!

I have a home inverter. And when the power cut happens, the inverter kicks in. However, my UPS also turns on, as the inverter ia not so fast in power switching. The UPS after 15 seconds turns off and goes to using the mains power. Hope this helps.

      Hi there!! Thanks for you comment :😊. Yes, It is also mentioned in the user manual. Extension box should be avoided as you will end up drawing all power from a single socket on the UPS. Not sure if the socket or the UPS can handle all the power from 1 socket. Hence its better to distribute the load from all the output sockets from the UPS. There are a total of 4 output sockets. Perhaps you can make use of the same. Cant find any other solution!. It is made in India 😊, In Uttarakhand. Thanks for watching!!

      Hey there! So, the UPS will work fine when you play games, and there is no power cut. ie you are using the Mains power. However, during a powercut and if you are playing game, then the backup time will be very less. Very less when compared to browsing activity or normal work. I have similar configuration. 750w psu, 27 inch 4k monitor, nvidia 1080Ti, intel i7. While gaming in 1080p, I got 4 minutes in the power saving mode and in normal mode around 6 to 7 mins. Had to switch off in the middle of 6 minute as I started to smell plastic, as UPS was getting heated, with fan spinning. Didn't want to take any chance! It works fine though. Hope this helps! Q) i have a laptop charging 3 pin, one additional monitor with 3 pin, wifi 2 pin, presently all are inserted in the extension box. With this UPS do i just put the extension 3 pin in it or put all the 3 pins to ups directly?
    Thanks, very nice video.

    • @TechnoShare
      @TechnoShare  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! I have not connected the router to this ups. Its backed up by home inverter. And whenever the power goes off, the home inverter is quick in switching and I get the internet without interruption. In your case, you can connect the router also to the ups, so that you get Internet during power cut. Also, you need to connect the individual devices directly to the UPS. As per the manual, it is not advised to connect extension box. I think since you have battery in laptop, you may only have to connect monitor and router to the UPS. It can accept both 3 pin and 2 pin plugs. Hope this helps! Thanks for your comments! Please do like👍 this video and subscribe 👆 for more 🙂

When I turned off the mains power the PC continued to operate. Was able to play for about 6 mins, and I felt some weird plastic smell coming out of UPS. It was getting quite hot. Hence I had to switch back to mains power at that moment. The UPS fan had not yet kicked in while it was on backup mode. When I switched on the mains, the fan started spinning on the UPS to cool it down. I have plugged in to the UPS my 27 inch 4k LED Monitor as well. Was playing the game on Full HD max settings. Hope this helps!!

      I used MECO energy meter. I have made a review of it. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/OD57M6GoKWo/w-d-xo.html
