I just revived my Revo after 20 years and numerous upgrades through the years. Its a very reliable platform and still supported by Traxxas. You did a great job tuning the 3.3, great fun! Thanks.
Mine was running away as well. I removed the optidrive, sensor and reverse gears. Since then, I've had no problems with runaways. Normally, if your receiver battery is low, the Revo throttle will remain in neutral until you recharge it. I believe the problem evolves around the sensor on the transmission. Hope this helps.
@Drumbone71 not sure what that means. I never had a blinking green light, only a blinking red light which usually means low battery. You may have a faulty optidrive. If you have a fairly new Revo, I would call traxxas for a solution. If you explain what's going on, they may send you a replacement.
Anyone know how many turns out is the factory idle screw for 1mm i got brand new slayer pro broke it in got hsn back to 4 turn out and lsn 2 turn flush to the thing and pinch test 7sec when during brake in was 3 sec 🤔
Not sure how many turns for idle set screw but if it's taking 7 seconds for a pinch test you're too rich on the low speed needle. Start by leaning it about an hour a time until your pinch test results are 3 to 4 seconds max. Hope this helps.
@Dre357 well when I had factory hsn and lsn pinch test was 3 sec I went back to factory and still 7 I wonder snice I mess with idle screw if I shouldn't turn to right open gap till she dies at 3 sec and then tune and lean stuff from there

I purchased this kit: Traxxas 5394X Forward Only Conversion Kit, Revo, 94-Pack a.co/d/ezzgOo2 This comes with the parts and instructions on how to perform the conversion which includes removing the optidrive. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I appreciate it! 👍🏿
People hate on those 3.3 but they are pretty powerful little engines 💯
I agree. They offer plenty of power for what traxxas is using them in. They're also keeping up with larger engines in the same scale size.
I agree 👍 I prefer the 2.5 in the 2WD nitros and the 3.3 for the 4WD nitros 😁
Can't wait to get mine. The tune on yours sounds great 👍
Thanks!
Your 3.3 moving real sweet Dre🤤🤩 I’d be running him all day 👌🏿
Nice of you to share 😁
Thank you! I do run as much as time and weather allows.
Nice safe tune....rarely see the 3.3 idling nice and low like that👍
Thanks!
I agree 👍
That idle is sick and she is running like a scolding dog, lol!
Thanks! I try. Still learning and loving every minute of it!
I agree 👍
Great run as always!!!
Thanks!
Looks and sounds GOOD !!!!!
Thanks!
When its running.......don't mess with it.
What do you mean?
boy that sounds good
Thanks
ideal sounds good
Thanks
sick, its stock carb ?
No. It has a OS 11k carburetor. Thanks for watching.
👊😎
What is your gearing?
How did you get it so snappy on take off??
Stock gearing. I installed the OS 11k carburetor and put a decent tune on it
I was breaking in my Revo today and had runaways. Last one killed the steering servo. Do you think it was a low receiver battery?

@@Dre357 The green light was intermittent blinking as I looked…

@@Dre357 It probably means 3 break in fuel runs and RX battery critically low in my book…
The more I think about it. First 2 tanks solid.
@Drumbone71 ok. Hopefully charging eliminates the problem. Good luck and keep burning nitro!
