- Te Roopu Manutaki at the 2005 Te Matatini - formerly known as Aotearoa Traditional Māori Performing Arts Festival (ATMPAF) FINALS Day held at Arena Manawatu in Rangitāne (Palmerston North).

A traditional kapa haka performance (bracket) consists of at least 6, or 7 items.
Groups have the option to perform a Waiata Tira, as a well as 6 compulsory items - whakaeke, mōteatea, poi, waiata a ringa, haka, and whakawātea.
Whakaeke: entrance; entering the stage | Moteatea, pātere or waiata tawhito; traditional waiata, lament | Waiata a ringa: a song with appropriate actions | Poi: an item with poi | Haka: a haka where the tāne (men) come to the front | Whakawātea: exit; exiting the stage | Waiata Tira: choral item.
