I like watching Slater's vlog even though sometimes it's too technical but it just simply means na alam na alam nya yung ginagawa nya as an Engineer. This one's very informative and hoping to see the skypod 2.0 version very soon
honestly I believe it’s a dad thing, my grandpa is a seafarer by profession but there is always construction in our house thankful for him always though

Ganun po tlga sir sa mga taong afford nmn magrenovate or mag improve ng bahay. Kc sa mga ordinaryong tao na walang gagastusin, kuntento na kung ano meron. Sa mga may afford nmn, madalas po tlga na ganyan kc kaya nmn ng budget. So pag merong mas maganda, merong bagong trends, ggwin rin sa bahay nila. And pag may need gaya ng expansion, cge lang kc kaya nmn. kaya blessed po kau kasi anything na maisip nyo na gusto nyo kahit hindi necessity, gora lang kc kaya nmn ng bulsa. kaya walang problema. Blessed po kau kasi hindi nmn lahat ganun.

Brilliant! I always said if you do an add-on to your house and a remodel make sure it never looks like you added on that always looks like crap. I grew up in Southern California and our building ideas are very much aligned, which is very uncommon here in the Philippines, good job with your work. Congratulations with your baby.

slater engineer rin ako, kinontrol ko yung expenses namin, kasi konti yung pera nami,talagang tipid kasi kami rin ang mahiirapang magasawa lalo ng yung futre ng anak namin. yun ang kaibahan natin,marami kayong pera,kami konti.

Not just an engineer thing, I guess? My parents even though they had money for expansion and improvements, they always said that everything should be done slowly. The first priority was to pay off the land and the house itself, then improvements come on as we go. As a kid some of our partitions weren't painted, because my mom knew that the walls would be our artwork. Parang every year daw kasi they had a goal for their home, kumbaga hindi sila nauubusan ng pangarap.
In my own ordinary person's view, the more texture sa bahay, the more prone ito sa dumi, kaya the more effort din sa paglilinis. 😊
Though it is true that having dirt accumulated in texture is inevitable, I'm sure that Slater alongside his team know what kind of textures and materials are good for aesthetic purposes, practicality and managing.

Sir slater, may question lng ako. Wouldnt it be better ba if magpagawa/design ng bahay, lets say 1 storey house like skypod, to make provisions for 2nd or 3rd storey para when the time comes na ready na to expand di na mahirapan?
