  • Introduction to multiple integrals beginning with double integrals over rectangular regions. Using Riemann sums to approximate a double integral; "partial" integration. Fubini's Theorem; interchanging the order of integration. Average value of a function of several variables. Example graphing a solid represented by a double integral. #doubleintegrals #multipleintegrals #calculus3 #calculus #fubinistheorem #integration #mathtvwithprofessorv #youtubemath #mathprofessor #mathvideos #mathhelp #mathteacher #mathtutor

    Very beautiful, really appreaciate the videos. Professor since the double (iterated integral) is a "partial integral" doesn't it stand to reason that the we should have use the notation for partial not exact derivatives?

    • @mathwithprofessorv
      @mathwithprofessorv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you referring to the differential in the integral? The dx and dy? The convention is not to use partial notation for these, but now you have me intrigued as to why that is!

      @@mathwithprofessorv Yes Prof I meant the dx and dy in the integral. Thank you once again, It helps to learn/revise without the pressure of a looming assignment, and these videos make that possible.

      You are so welcome! I’m very glad that you are enjoying my videos ☺️☺️. Isn’t it so wonderful to be able to relearn and appreciate material without the pressure of examinations? That’s one of my favorite things about teaching, is that I get to revisit this beautiful subject and instead of having to take exams, I’m the one giving them! 😂💞

    at about 36:10 when we have used U sub, howcome we do not change the bounds of the integral to represent U when we sub in the upper and lower bounds?

    • @mathwithprofessorv
      @mathwithprofessorv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because I never actually rewrote the integral in terms of u-I just explained how it would work and we would pick up the extra 1/2 but did the u-sub mentally so I wouldn’t have to deal with changing the limits. 😉
