JackgarPrime Bret Hart had genuine passion. The problem with Hart - he didn’t work against top names outside of Piper to help him be perceived as a “top” guy. I saw it at the time & I didn’t get it (no clue what was politics in business as a kid). Hart’s first run had him defending vs. Shawn & Razor - who were 2 years of building away. SS should have been Hart vs. Ted DiBiase (with a proper build & Jimmy Hart/IRS). DiBiase was few years removed from Main Event vs. Hogan/Savage but was still a credible Main Event (he WAS originally planned to be WWF Champ). Royal Rumble should have been a Ric Flair rematch or vs. Savage. UnderTaker should have won Royal Rumble for WrestleMania vs. Hart; teasing “dark” UT & let fans decide; with UT going over. Michaels should have been booked vs. Bob Backlund & Backlund booked properly as a Mick Foley like threat to win, given he was 5 year run of WWF Champion-giving Michaels “the wrestling level of his life” with Michaels barely escaping with win. Would have really pushed his past success & not as a mid-carder.

The legend of Yakazuma lives on! Sorry to nerd out here - but Bret and Shawn used a bunch of rest holds because (according to Bret's autobiography) Shawn came up to him and said he wasn't conditioned to go a hard 30 minutes.
I get people love to shit on Bret (and while he embellishes I think he is quite honest), but at the time Shawn wasn't quite a year into his singles run and other than a good little 9 minute match against bulldog wasn't particularly great as a solo act until the feud with Razor. Hey! As a Latino kid, who would rather watch American style rather than Lucha, I LOVED RAZOR RAMON. We didn’t have many guys who represented the Latin/Hispanic demographic. You can have the legit Mexican Tito Santana, I’ll take Razor Ramon any day. 😉
Bret is the absolute best. I remember as a kid I always used to want Owen to beat him when they were feuding, because I preferred his high-flying moves. But Bret makes it feel like a real fight somehow in a way that's better than just about anybody, he's just so good at pro wrestling. I think you guys have talked about that in the past.
Interesting take on the Brain Scan .. but being an American company, they were more taking the piss out of John Madden, who did the same thing in the NFL
And two of my boys (Mr. Beverley 1 & 2 - the Shaker Heights Spike is a fantastic finisher) were featured as an added bonus. The gift that keeps on giving.
MrDrokkul Correct , I’m 99.9% that was their specific source of borrowing that idea from. Madden was huge during that time and especially thought of for his Thanksgiving game coverage.
OH SHIT! lads seriously, my close mate (who I met through wrestling locally) took his own life and I've been in the absolute dumps, but this makes me happy. You boys are the best and I'll never cancel my patreon donations as long as you keep doing you
>Says that Russo can't be a boy cuz he was a World Champion. >Says that Jinder can be a boy despite being a World Champion. Ladies and gentlemen, what you are seeing is a total disregard for the things the Boys Club stand for. All this hypocrisy, unfairness, destruction of THE RULES! Are these the things we think of when we think of the Boys? In all seriousness, loved the episode, brahs. Can't wait for the '93 Rumble review! :)
Some cases of Boydum can't be scrubbed clean...I still see Christian as a Boy regardless of the nwa and world title runs. I'd even say Christian and Matt Hardy are stuck with a "That Other Boy" complex being shadows of their tag team/brother. no amount of world titles redeems it.
One thing I'll never understand about Nailz: he never took off his prison garb. Like, he was so desperate to get out, but now it's his entire identity? Also, am I the only one who thinks that his chin lock looks absolutely terrible? That said, it's amazing how much the 'thing on a pole' match is over. Like it hasn't been diluted yet. But, the nightstick doesn't even really factor into the finish. So it was kinda pointless to the feud.
Haha! Watched this last night on oswreview.com! Crazy that I could've just waited a day for the YT version. Good on ya, fellas! Fun episode! (Not any Lex in this Survivor Series though.) Looking forward to this arc for sure!
About that last "move" Shawn tried on Bret that got transitioned into the Sharpshooter - it would've looked a lot more believable if Shawn was attempting a flying double ax handle smash, only to have Bret catch him, hold him for a quick beat, then drop him on his back for the Sharpshooter. That would've seemed like a more credible move instead of that "flying barse tackle" he attempted. Perhaps Shawn was too heavy to allow Bret to catch him in midair for the double ax handle transition, so Shawn just jumped at him legs-first so Bret wouldn't have to catch him?
I love Razor Ramon. The best gear in wrestling history imo. I feel like if he didn't go to wcw the mid 90s might've actually not been as garbage as they were cuz he woulda been another main event title contender to go along with Bret and Shawn

Lads, I hope you know that since Macaulay Culkin did an appearance for you, you're now mandated to do a film review of one of his movies and shit all over him. Respectfully and with love, of course.
Idk, uh...in an effort to not go for the two obvious ones: Richie Rich? Or The Good Son where he's a little serial killer in the making, starring opposite Frodo? But of the two Home Alones, I'd definitely go with the second because I think it has way more material for you to work with, especially since it's just doing the first movie over again. And it has Tim Curry!
Do Jacob's Ladder. Not only is it a great movie and the source material for Silent Hill, but also fits better with the joke of him being famous for ambushing Chavo, seeing that he played a minor role.
Don't know about best but Party Monster would probably give you the most material to work with. Lots of questionable things going on in that one.. on and off screen

Hey! As a Latino kid, who would rather watch American style rather than Lucha, I LOVED RAZOR RAMON. We didn’t have many guys who represented the Latin/Hispanic demographic. You can have the legit Mexican Tito Santana, I’ll take Razor Ramon any day. 😉
But he isn't Latino? You would rather have a caricature
@@thomasc.5219 Even a caricature is representation of a sort.
This is already light years above last year's angle. Thank you OSW.
TELL EM TRI !
"...Tri."
"I don't like what that Triiii is saying!"
JR: Dey call you a "student of da game... TRIIII??"
Triii: I am the fucking Game JR
This was probably my favorite arc you guys did. Starting from the beginning again.
Me too, gonna do a marathon to see of 2020.
This truly was the golden era of Professional wrestling.
Interesting take on the Brain Scan .. but being an American company, they were more taking the piss out of John Madden, who did the same thing in the NFL
I love how Perfect got his money from Lloyds of London where he could retire, but was still allowed to wrestle in a tag team.
Thought I was the only Hogan fan that watched these lol
Another phenomenal video and the sheer joy of knowing another arc has begun cannot be quantified by words alone.
Thank you fellas.
Aw thanks brah! A winner is you ☺️
And two of my boys (Mr. Beverley 1 & 2 - the Shaker Heights Spike is a fantastic finisher) were featured as an added bonus.
The gift that keeps on giving.
I believe that the Brain Scan was a spoof of John Madden drawing diagrams on a telestrator while commentating on NFL games.
MrDrokkul Correct , I’m 99.9% that was their specific source of borrowing that idea from. Madden was huge during that time and especially thought of for his Thanksgiving game coverage.
Irish gobshite's believe the world revolves around them
100% Thanksgiving is a huge Americian football holiday.
OH SHIT!
lads seriously, my close mate (who I met through wrestling locally) took his own life and I've been in the absolute dumps, but this makes me happy.
You boys are the best and I'll never cancel my patreon donations as long as you keep doing you
OSW the perfect cure for a hangover
thanks for another great vid guys. I love everything you guys have put out. Thanks for the great videos and giving us something to look forward too
>Says that Russo can't be a boy cuz he was a World Champion.
Boys will be boys
*That Yakazuma is a menace* 🇯🇵🈵🈯🈳
THEY BROUGHT THE OLD INTRO BACK! Yasss
41:49 Warrior doing his best Lou Reed impression.
This is hilarious!
IT FINALLY HAPPENED!
I freaking loved the razor gimmick. Every bit of it. One of my all time favorites. Scott Hall. But especially the Razor years
What does Yakazuma mean?
It means Japanese wrestler.
31:09 Come on Jay. Miss Justice can't be Sid's wife. Then she'd be Mrs Justice. Must be his sister (sidster, if you will)
OSW + 92 + Phil Collins= thanks lads.
JosephDiEgidio do you remember?
Also, only just thought of this.
Way are we not calling Road Dogg's finisher the "Hump Handle Slam"?
Very happy to see my boys back in the era that madr them famous. IVE BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS DAY FOR A LONG LONG TIME!
Never expected Maculay Culkin to show up in an OSW Review
TheOpt1m1st1cGuy *vince voice* Anything can happen on OSW
UNBELIEVABLE!
The animated bit about the coffin Undertaker made is the best. Great episode! :)
I love Razor Ramon. The best gear in wrestling history imo. I feel like if he didn't go to wcw the mid 90s might've actually not been as garbage as they were cuz he woulda been another main event title contender to go along with Bret and Shawn
i popped seeing Macauly culkin do a "helllooooooooo" all of a sudden mid episode
Tatanka's wrestling moveset reminds me of Kin Corn Karn from NES Pro Wrestling
Wow!! Cant believe I've been watching for 5 years already, you guys are the absolute best🤙. Cant wait to watch this whole new story arc....love the old school days, would love to see you put together a nwo/nitro arc
Legends
OOOOHH Yea(In My Macho Man Voice) My Boys Are Back!!!!
Love The New Timeline ,So Geeked For These Up Coming Episodes.
I've So Looking Foward To Seeing A New OSW Review Video Pop Up
You Guys Are The Friggin Best There Is,Best There Was,And The Best There Will Ever Be.
I received the glasses from Bret survivor series 92. Still have them crazy how time fly’s
really? That's awesome! Can u snap a pic and tweet me? (@OSWreview) I'd love to see em!
OSW Review HD ok will do today
Holy shit old intro! Happy days are here again!
Lads, I hope you know that since Macaulay Culkin did an appearance for you, you're now mandated to do a film review of one of his movies and shit all over him. Respectfully and with love, of course.
ha ha! Great idea, I'll pitch it to the lads. What's Mack's best film?
Idk, uh...in an effort to not go for the two obvious ones: Richie Rich? Or The Good Son where he's a little serial killer in the making, starring opposite Frodo?
But of the two Home Alones, I'd definitely go with the second because I think it has way more material for you to work with, especially since it's just doing the first movie over again. And it has Tim Curry!
OSW Review HD The Pagemaster is pretty shite if you don't want to review a good movie.
1:04:00 Virgil has me convinced that this Yakazuma from the far East in a menace to society. I wonder how the world champion Brett Hart is going to react to these warnings.
I absolutely love Mr Perfects singlet on that night, I think it’s one of the best gears he wore in his entire career
Clean
Mr. Perfect is under appreciated
Love the Mr. Perfect animation at the end, take a bow
Finally, we get to the good times! Im 100% on the Lex Express, and how can you not love Razor? He's a wrestling Tony Montana ! Love the video, lads !!!! I think the New Generation gets waaaaay too much shit. It just was sandwiched between 2 huge boon times for the WWF.
I have been telling people to check out osw like crazy and now we get a new eppy!!!! You guys are fantastic! I feel like I should try to be witty or cleaver here but really I just want to say thanks for the work and laughs and letting me relive all the ppv’s my folks wouldn’t let me get in the early 90s!
aw thanks mate! Ha, I lost Sky Sports and access to WWF PPVs around this time as well! It was a dark few years :P
I'm just now re-watching this arc and I'm marking out at the opening because I realize Lanny wrote that promo for Randy to rhyme. 😂
Ohhhhhhhh, YEAH!
Just stellar. It feels right to be back in this era. Can't wait for the boyest of boys to show up. Lex Lives!
Animated OSW is amazing 1:08:13
