As a father of 4 kids, you don't get gifts so much, because your gifts are watching your kids open up all the things they have been wanting for months. Then when Christmas day comes, rather than sitting back and relaxing, you get to put various gifts together. However, the feelings I had of anticipation all day waiting for this episode to drop, it brought me back to Christmases gone past waiting to open the Nes, Snes and N64. About Savage being the catalyst for the split of the nWo: That was actually how it started in 98 with the Wolfpac. It was Savage who became less and less controllable and even at one point punched out Bischoff during a segment. Everything looked like Savage would lead the Wolfpac, but then somehow Nash completely took over his storyline and it was all about him and Hogan all of a sudden, with Savage being pushed to the side as just one of Nash's minions in the Wolfpac. I can't remember if Macho got injured or what happened for him to lose this storyline, but I was quite pissed about it.
Gotta say, OOCs ongoing feuds with both Meng and WhatBar are really picking up heat. Can't wait for the triple threat match. Great work with this one lads. Merry christmas to you!

I had the honour to have dinner with Ted Dibiase as part of a promotional giveaway from a local radio station. He and Virgil (Vincent) were a blast and awesome to listen about their wrestling history. I am sad to hear that he is involved in that scandal. ☹
I worked selling shoe laces you don't have to tie back in the day *(1999) to be specific at the Logan Airport Boston meeting quite the number of celebrities including Snoop enter Now selling sketchers i was ahead of my time clearly.. yet 1 of my more memorable moments was seeing Ted DiBiase eating clam chowder quite content alone nobody bothering him or realizing who it was with silver briefcase 💼 in tow with NWO white golf shirt on. He walked by I smirked and gave him the 4 LIFE 😂He absolutely 💯 loved it!!

My favorite part of Dean Malenko perving on Lita was when he invited her back to his hotel room with the wonderful line, "You can't deny the feelings between us, Leet-Oh."
My man was anti-charisma all the way through his career. It's amazing isn't it? That was the only time he had a character and he gave us the most robotic acting only Dean Malenk can give us. The "Double-Ho 7" gimmick was short but hilarious.
I bought a Peacock subscription last year and one of the first things I saw was this episode of Nitro. And man it felt like an eternity, ESPECIALLY the Hogan segments.
2022 has been tough for me, but I discovered OSW. You boys have gotten me through some dark times, and I cannot thank you enough. Happy days are here again! ❤

This feels like a proper Christmas present!! Can't really describe how much your videos make me laugh. I'm from Dublin but now live in Australia and the humour in OSW Review cracks me up like nothing else. I voted for 'seasons beatings' as shamefully the 'new gen' era was my most committed time to wrestling, however you guys make anything entertaining. During the depths of covid lockdown I felt nostalgic and looked up Wrestlemania 6 to watch Hogan/Warrior and found OSW by accident. It was so fucking weird to hear wrestling being commentated by 3 Dublin lads. I was in stitches immediately. Made me less homesick!
Boys - what a gift this is. Got a 4 day old baby currently lying in my arms after screaming her lungs out and I'm on the first shift while my wife tries to catch up on sleep. I love that OSW and Botchamania have a "vibe" that can't be described unless you're a fan of both and I have been for years and always will be. The 8-Bit cards, video game music, the 80's and 90's pop culture references, the intros and endings. The OSW crew are the only across the pond accents that I can enjoy listening to because they're so in touch with Western culture it feels natural and familiar. Every other channel just sounds like a bland BBC nature documentary and I can't do it. I'll die a happy man if I ever get a "winner is you" reply from Jay. Yours truly, an OSW FUCKING MARK!

More than any other episode of WCW you guys have covered I think this one conveys the problems with WCW more than any other. No one gave a shit and everyone near the top was just happy to take a check and phone it in.
Giant vs. Nash took place at Souled Out in January '98. That was when Nash dropped him on his head. They did meet again in January '99, which Nash won and Giant left WCW to go to WWF right after. Great show as always, though. Keep it up.

Also, on the subject of switching colors for potato chips, one time my brother asked me if I wanted to finish the bag of chips/crisps he was eating and I thought it was sour cream and onion but it was salt and vinegar so I went to inhale the last bits of chips at the bottom and I inhaled a huge breath of vinegar and immediately coughed like crazy. They really shouldn’t go confusing us like that.

The boy stables are my favorite part of any show. Just listening to you guys shit on these jobbers is so entertaining. Damien Mizdow could never be a boy though, he was absolutely amazing.
I've got some bad news for you Jay. You're wrong about when Nash and Giant had a match. They actually had a match a month after the Starrcade '97 no show, at Souled Out '98. It's a shame you missed this because it would have been a great moment to get V1 and OOC's reaction to Nash botching the Jacknife powerbomb he does to Giant, dropping the Big Show on his neck.

Theory actually bounced back well from that burial... it seems like Trips wanted to bring him all the way down to the bottom and build him back up from there, to wash away the stink of McMahon. He didn't look out of place at all in the recent Triple Threat at the Pay-Per-View with two huge Stars. I think he's going places.
It only looks bad if you view it through a Vince-led lens, who had conditioned us to thinking if you're at your lowest, you're done unless you do a shit comedy gimmick. It's refreshing to see WWE NOT do that shit now! It's less crash and burn and more cleansing fire booking
@@elltell1990 Nah it looks bad whatever way you look at it, no lover of Vince or his horrific booking for over 20 years but it's just biased giving any kind of credit to that shit, having him cash in on a mid card title during an open fucking challenge was the most hilariously stupid thing I've seen in wrestling for YEARS. Nobody gets any credit for anything there, even his redemption afterwards because there's every chance they only did that because of the backlash rather than it being some master plan. Even with him being booked well afterwards the briefcase gimmick is still dead, which if they were actually getting rid of it is fine...as far as I know though they're not, it's impossibly hard to care about it now, who gives a shit if they cash in on a vulnerable midcarders who are vulnerable anyway...because they're midcarders.

I love that OSW and Botchamania have a "vibe" that can't be described unless you're a fan of both and I have been for years and always will be. The 8-Bit cards, video game music, the 80's and 90's pop culture references, the intros and endings. The OSW crew are the only across the pond accents that I can enjoy listening to because they're so in touch with Western culture it feels natural and familiar. Every other channel just sounds like a bland BBC nature documentary and I can't do it. I'll die a happy man if I ever get a "winner is you" reply from Jay. Yours truly, an OSW FUCKING MARK!

More than any other episode of WCW you guys have covered I think this one conveys the problems with WCW more than any other. No one gave a shit and everyone near the top was just happy to take a check and phone it in.
Giant vs. Nash took place at Souled Out in January '98. That was when Nash dropped him on his head. They did meet again in January '99, which Nash won and Giant left WCW to go to WWF right after.

I've got some bad news for you Jay. You're wrong about when Nash and Giant had a match. They actually had a match a month after the Starrcade '97 no show, at Souled Out '98. It's a shame you missed this because it would have been a great moment to get V1 and OOC's reaction to Nash botching the Jacknife powerbomb he does to Giant, dropping the Big Show on his neck.

He didn't look out of place at all in the recent Triple Threat at the Pay-Per-View with two huge Stars. I think he's going places.

@@elltell1990 Nah it looks bad whatever way you look at it, no lover of Vince or his horrific booking for over 20 years but it's just biased giving any kind of credit to that shit, having him cash in on a mid card title during an open fucking challenge was the most hilariously stupid thing I've seen in wrestling for YEARS. Nobody gets any credit for anything there, even his redemption afterwards because there's every chance they only did that because of the backlash rather than it being some master plan. Even with him being booked well afterwards the briefcase gimmick is still dead, which if they were actually getting rid of it is fine...as far as I know though they're not, it's impossibly hard to care about it now, who gives a shit if they cash in on a vulnerable midcarders who are vulnerable anyway...because they're midcarders.
