when the volt meter on instrument show 0.0V when u measure the earbud (+ -) does that mean that it found that + is left and - is right?
yes, that's why you need to use digital multi-meter
The 0.0 on digital Multimeter in either direction does not tell the battery voltage. How to infer + and - of the battery then?

On the little pcb inside my earbud it says 1.2 volts, should I give it 1.2v or still 5 volts as you have done here?
follow my tutorial, adjust potentiometer to 1.2V, if not charging try 3V up 5V. Most earbuds will charge in 5V, thanks for watching
