Folks please grow up,Regardless how he looks or how is he, there is no doubt he is a phenomenal person and so motivated. We should respect him and respect his knowledge. Mr. Alpha you are a great and great, please keep going.
I'm passionate about learning. I feel like I've already learned everything I can at my current job. I think I would be happy in a career where I could constantly learn how to do new things.
Thanks for the video, alpha. I started college in computer engineering... and then made the decision that I would rather not spend my life stuck in front of a computer in an office somewhere. Changed to psychology, and now I'll be done with a graduate degree in education next year. Teaching! ;)
Computer science. And like I said, One. I only have two semesters left in graduate school, and one is spent in the field doing student teaching, so no worries.
Kinda' same here. I started Computer Engineering ( I guess it is the same thing?) and I am currently trying to switch to Literature. Follow your dreams people!
I'm sorry, but I can't sacrifice my happiness just to have a little bit of economical stability. My plans don't include getting a family or something like that anytime soon. As I see it, you have to work hard to get the good things in life, and the good things have nothing to do with money, they have to do with what you really want. I understand your point of view and I know mine lacks a lot of ... I don't know... reality, I don't know. I don't care at all. Maybe if people started working at things they really want to work at, instead of the ones they HAVE to because they think it will bring them economical stability, we would have better results as a society.
Lovely Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Chiveard Discovering Potential Framework (do a search on google)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for finding your true calling and achieving success minus the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cooworker got amazing results with it.
1: hes probably not gay 2: even if he was, we don't care 3: you guys miss the whole point of the video 4: I do not understand why people are so intrigued by someone's sexual orientation. This is probably the most useless thing to know
My dream job is working as an AML officer in a bank. I have a certified fraud Examiner (CFE), certified anti money laundry specialist (CAMS) and a certified public accountant (CPA). I worked as an external auditor for two years. Now I work in a bank in credit for the past 3 years. I hate it. I've been trying for find my dream job but no success. I just quit trying and accepted that it is just not the way it is. I am very demotivated at my current job but at least I have one.
*I loved being a firefighter/medic, but then the town I worked for said "We're contracting a private ambulance, dropping you all to part time and reducing your pay." So I found myself frantically searching for a new path. Took a job with a sheriff's department and have found myself stuck in the jail ever since. No chance of promotion or movement through out the department and I'm miserable. I'm approaching 40 and l just can't do this for the rest of my life.*
I’m 26 and I quit my job because it wasn’t for me I need to make money but don’t know how I don’t want to work as a cashier I want to work somewhere that I can actually make money
you are awesome! thank you! :) very uplifting! I am currently looking for work. Just graduated. Sort of 'down in the dumps'. :( unemployed for a month and a half. Graduated last year in december in business management. Served in active us army 2 years ago. Stressed out because I want to find work that I actually love and enjoy. Don't know where to look or where to start. lost. :( and frustrated! :(
Hey there, I know this comment is a few years old by now but just wanted to say, I hope things are going alright for you and that you’ve found something that you love, or at the very least is better. And if not, keep your head up because times are tough atm but I’m sure that with time, you can get to where you want to :)

Make sure you always... 1. Know your subject, no matter what it is, (if it's a job, fashion, how to talk, how to walk) 2. Research all these subjects and learn and practice the steps to get better. 3. Workout! Lose weight, get Fit, (one of the best things that happened for me, when people start complementing you, it's a huge boost) 4. Please stop talking to poor people, poor attitudes, poor character, poor integrity, it's all infectious. 5. Now do opposite of 4, get with people who are rich, rich in attitude, rich in character, rich in integrity! 6. Like you! Meaning learn to compliment and think big about yourself, no matter what others think! Forget anyone who doesnt support your vision/dream
What do you guys think? I have found a passion- singing. But that doesn't come naturally to me. I have to practice a lot to make it work. My natural talents are - stage presence/public speaking. How do I go about this? What do you think? Should I look for more things that I love doing or singing (even though it's not my natural talent) is totally fine, just at the begining don't put all eggs in one basket?
Funny thing I'm commenting as I watch the video and the business I'm apart of is network marketing. This is not a spam message I am the real deal. Aaron Merino makes killer videos and this is one of them
Hey i love all your videos they have help me big time. i wanted to know if you can make a video that focus more into the resume part. I,m trying to get a job but many dont wanna hire me because i got no expirience and i try to get one throught line but they keep asking me for a resume their as a must have so i dont know how to start or how to write a resume especially because i just came out of hight school this year. thanks
This video was really helpful so thanks Aaron! I also just watched Antonio's 7 reasons to dress sharp for a conference. I have a conference to attend this fall. First business conference ever and I will be volunteer and student representative. I am freaking out because I have no idea what to wear. Hopefully what I'm picking out from my "church clothes" is sufficient. I need a job!
This is all great advice, but it’s all geared towards being “given” a career, or “finding” a job. Why not create one? Is molding yourself to fit whatever job really the best way to get ahead? What are the benefits to “taking the trail less traveled”, and taking your machete and hacking away?
Can you please make a video explaining HOW MANY professional careers can I get. I want to go to the Air Force and become a fighter pilot, also I want be an Commercial Airliner pilot, and a demonstration pilot for the U.S. Navy (Blue Angels).
Edwin Marquez he doesn't have the answer to your life, I wish there was someone out there having the answers to life, but the chance are slim. I say you go with your instinct and your change environment, choose what you feel is your best option and give it your 100% effort.
Just a heads-up on those aptitude tests take several from different sources because not everyone has the same career options. For example my goal is pursuing a career in the games industry but that one is almost always excluded from those kind of tests for some reason. (Art related is also minimal)
while you're on the way to have your dream job you have to pass on the shitty once.. it's stairs no one can get the highest level without passing the first one or the low level
Ughhh im so stuck im still in school so im not looking for a job at all but i dont really have a passion or a dream job, i know what i want to do, i want to make people happy and do things like helping mental health by creating something that i have a talent for! But i dont know if thatll work out and i dont have a backup if that fails, i do singing lessons but thats it and i feel like im not doing enough to prepare for the future and be successful. It also dosent help that my parents make me go to church even though i dont want to and id rather spend my time improving my skills or doing afterschool clubs and practising for the future than go to a place i dont want to be at nearly everyday after school and on the weekends. Ughhhhhhh i just dont know what im doing at all!
Very good first steps, especially for someone without any money or income. Volunteer to burn calories you do not have. Buy shoes with the money you do not have and pay with "Thanks" the professional resume writers. And then there are the certifications. Aptitude tests are a joke for polyvalent people, for most of the times the questions are leading to an unappealing domain fit for the old system.
when I grow up I want to be a director, but my school only teaches us things about jobs like sales or the more common jobs and it is really annoying when I say "Is want to be a director" but then they say "Well, we can't teach stuff for that"
that's what college is for. my ex girlfriend wanted to be a director, went to film school, got a great job, then a better one. she now owns 3 bars, 2 houses and still directs.
Nadav Guy He doesn't look gay at all. Besides, what if he was? Who cares! The video is about career change. Appreciate that he took the time to make a video to help people!
Aaron, is it ever too late to switch careers?? I am 28, single and have an aerospace engineering degree. But I realized that this is a career which i do not truly enjoy. In fact, I would like to switch to physiotherapy instead. However, I am facing much criticism from friends who argue that it is too late.
Oh ya, make money, then open up a franchise of a store or just make your own store, you can start by purchasing a certain thing from a supplier and sell it. Ex. I love soccer, i contacted a supplier to get jersies an sold many for this worldcup an made lots of profit
@alpha m. Hiya! By watching your videos I got inspired to work on the way I look and the way I present myself to the people. I'd really like to start off with a small change as you have advised in a couple of your videos. This change would be a change of a hairstyle and here's the thing, I wanted to ask you if you could please spare me some of your time on helping me to find a hairstyle that look good on me. Please? I also wanted to say big thank you to you sir, because I think that by watching your videos I learnt plenty of good stuff that I will try to implement in my daily basis. I really appreciate work you put into those videos to help men in some of their struggles, even if awkward. Once again, Thank you. Ps. Sorry for not including any of the photos in here, I will try to upload some as soon as It will be possible.
I don't feel like this is applicable to me. In my situation, I'm 21 and not able to find steady employment. All I can get right now is temp jobs. And for that, I have to drive an hour and 30 minutes into the closest city because I have to live with my mom. I don't have the luxury of being able to move out because I won't be able to pay rent even if I live with roommates. It would be awesome if I could have the luxury to think about this, but it's probably even worse to still be living at my mom's house without some kind of plan to get out. And even when I get the time to think more about this, I always hear this common advice: "You want to find your passion? Easy. Ask yourself this question. What would you do if money weren't an object?" Ugh. I really dislike this question. One, this isn't applicable. Two, if money weren't an object, I would be okay with doing nothing. And by nothing, I mean NOTHING. At most, I would do personal things that only involved me. Watching TV, fixing the car, playing guitar, cooking, etc. Here's the caveat though: I DON'T WANT TO DO IT FOR ANYONE ELSE THOUGH. I don't care about servicing the customer or client or whatever. I act like I do now to keep my current temp job, but if I were set to my own devices and money were no concern, I would be content and at peace by myself with limited contact from society. It is draining for me to be around people and servicing people or managers or anyone in general. No amount of freelance or work from home opportunities would remedy this. At best, I could look into passive income opportunities so I won't have to do anything for money when I get older. I still have to worry about finding a career now though. As much as I'm complaining, I'm not in a position to change it. This is how society is. Welcome to the club. Not sorry that I'm a pessimist.
Wakemeup456 1000% This is pretty much exactly how I feel about working customer service. It's all so insincere and honestly it's only entertaining for an hour a day, after that I feel drained and I get ridiculously tired when I realise there's like 7 hours left. Passive income may be the way to go, but I've personally been turned off by all of these Influencers bigging it up to be something it isn't.
Wakemeup456 Not a pessimist, just awoke✋🏽👌🏽. Our extraverted-capitalist society does not put our well being first in line and doesn’t value our “inner being”. The system is made to keep us “narrow”, “in bondage”, and brainwashed to not think out of the norm.
hello Mr Marino, do you have an email or something where subscribers can send u a message that you use for future video ideas? i have a question to ask you that is closely linked to this video.
Very good advice! Preparing your mind as #1 is very wise.....event though some may think this is common sense, it isn't as much as one would think. Truth is, we need reminders to keep the fire going....cheers!
I took an online aptitude test after the video. These carrier paths came out as suggestions. Anyone else on the same boat? Biostatisticians Mathematicians Cytotechnologists Library Science Teachers, Postsecondary Biochemists and Biophysicists Mining and Geological Engineers, Including Mining Safety Engineers Physicists Materials Scientists Computer and Information Research Scientists Astronomers
my parents want me work to a fire station or go to school and become a lawyer but im just not that into.I love cars i watch top gear Uk Literally everyday i would love to test drive cars and probably become a car presenter and earn some money

Absolutely 100% not homophobic or a hater , i love his videos ;
Is he gay ?

Aaron, is it ever too late to switch careers?? I am 28, single and have an aerospace engineering degree. But I realized that this is a career which i do not truly enjoy. Hey...
If i have passion about fashion and work at a clothing retail store, could that be considered a career?
Yes of course it could. You could work your way up to be manager of the current store you work in or maybe open your own store some day.
Oh ya, make money, then open up a franchise of a store or just make your own store, you can start by purchasing a certain thing from a supplier and sell it.
Ex. I love soccer, i contacted a supplier to get jersies an sold many for this worldcup an made lots of profit
i dont get weekends off, i work 6 days and some sundays, miserable as hell
