Many, many years ago I had a surgery scheduled for Friday the 13th of August, 1982. I was working the lights in a college production of Godspell at the time. During one of the rehearsals I was visited by a light. It only lasted a moment but in that moment I knew that I would survive the surgery. During the surgery I reacted to the anesthetic and most likely shout have died. In fact, the odds were more than mildly stacked against me. According to the statisticians the possibility of me surviving what happened (without brain damage) were roughly one in five million. I survived (without any additional brain damage) so …
