I designed the USS Enterprise you used in this video and I wanted to thank you for including it. It was my first more complicated design and seeing people understand my instructions and successfully assemble it is a treat.
@@MakeTechCreate Considering how little I knew about the concept of making 3d models, yeah it took months. When it all finally came together and worked I was so excited.
When cutting out the drink caddy it would be most efficient to make the circles into coasters. Like cutting/etching designs into them before they are cut out
small suggestion ..when ever you make a timelapse video please add an analog clock..so that we can see how much time you spent on the project....BTW Great Video...Thanks from INDIA.
Nice work. Would love to see some 1/4" cuts in real time to get a sense of the speed your machine is running. Also, I see no smoke? No mask on your wood? Amazed how clean of cuts you are getting. I wonder if I should get a more powerful air assist.
The bigger 1/4" cuts took about 40-45 mins on my 50 watt CO2. There is smoke, it just doesn't show up much on video. The clean cuts are because I upgraded the air pump to California Air Tools CAT-1P1060S compressor and I get MUCH cleaner cuts now. You can also try upgrading to a larger, higher output fish tank air pump for cleaner cuts.
I need to make a metal figure of 30 to 35 pieces, we are going to use a CNC PLASMA SIP 1530 HP. Do you have any projects that you have done with their plans by chance?
How much of an offset do you use for interlocking interlocking pieces? Also, is there a way to prevent the pieces from falling through the board after they have been cut? Like is it possible to make so the receiver of the pieces can pop it out when they begin the project?
The offset "KERF" is dependent on the lens I have installed and materials. You really need to test it out on your particular machine and setup. You can add what are known as "tabs" in Lightburn to keep the pieces from falling out.
Nice, how much computer experience do I need to be able to make a project like this or to be able to to use this machine, or do I have to take a class in other to be able to make a project, because I have to experience of how to use computer software please need your honest advise. I just bought a new hp laptop that I would like to use to make money. I need your help
Good morning Just watched you video here and have a question. on the bottle case would the file that can be downloaded be use to be able to cut it out on a cnc Thanks Jeff
The biggest pieces of plywood are about 450mm x 400mm. The smaller projects on 1/8" plywood take about 10 mins, while the large projects on 1/4" plywood take about 40 minutes. This is using a 50 watt CO2 laser. Thanks for watching!
How do you verify your cut files are scaled properly for material thickness? everytime i have tried those files off thingiverse they seem to be sloppy fit.
What I do is select 2 small pieces of the projects that fit together. I then cut only those 2 pieces and keep scaling them until I get a snug fit. I'll then scale the rest of the project the same amount. Hope that helps.
I can cut 1/8" plywood with my 2.5 watt, so you shouldn't have any issues with your 5.5 watt laser, it may take you a while, though. The 1/4" plywood projects will probably be a different story. I know I can't cut it with my 2.5 watt diode and even my 50 watt CO2 Laser struggles with it. Thanks for watching!

where can i buy the enterprise cut file?
It's an awesome model. Thank you for taking the time to design it!
It must have taken forever to design!!!

You can download it from Thingiverse. Link is in the description.
Ya, it's an amazing piece of work.
I can't imagine designing such an intricate piece of 3D work. I have hard enough time designing 2D pieces 😅
Absolutely LOVE the box at the end !! You're talented at engraving .
Thank you!
Excellent, thanks for sharing
You're welcome 😊
very very very good job!!!! 😀 thanks a lot for this video!!!

That's actually an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing 👍
Outstanding video 🎉🎉and 🎉
Thanks!
Thank you so much 😀

What finish you're using for the chest box specifically it looks really nice and did you paint it or is that colour from the finish?

Thanks so much for the info. Definitely going to upgrade my air system.
Especially like the box project, thanks for sharing!
I hope they help. Thanks for watching!

These are great! I like your laser videos. Very informative!
Thank You!
Can you provide for k40 wishper for a4 size templet which is degined by you for k40 wishper i will thanks full to you
Thank you! Can you tell me what kind of wood and how thick please?
You're welcome. All the projects were done with either 1/8" or 1/4" Baltic birch plywood.
I need to make a metal figure of 30 to 35 pieces, we are going to use a CNC PLASMA SIP 1530 HP. Do you have any projects that you have done with their plans by chance?
Sorry, I've never used a CNC Plasma, so I don't know what projects would work for them.
These are great! I like your laser videos. Very informative......Great
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching.
That was awesome!
Thank You!
soo cool thks !!

Superb
Nice work
Awesome
Bom dia. Quanto custa essa maquina de corte laser?
Meu nome walter
Very good ideas, thanks. Would these work with MDF also?
Paul, what power of laser cutter do you need to cut through 1/4 inch plywood?
I don't think it works for K40 ???
I would go with at least a 50 watt laser. If you're doing a lot of 1/4", a 60 watt or better would be my choice.
Thanks for watching, Colin.
A K40 "should" be able todo it, but it will struggle. My 50 watt doesn't like 1/4" very much.
Thanks for watching!

Howdy 🤠. I was wondering what size 1/8 inch plywood your using?
Hii sir,
What type of software you are using for this designing and what material is this gift made of, kindly reply back
can i get the dxf file of mobile stand?
Good morning Just watched you video here and have a question. on the bottle case would the file that can be downloaded be use to be able to cut it out on a cnc Thanks Jeff
You would have to add dogbone corners if you want to cnc it.
I've seen similar projects for cnc available, just look around.
Thanks for watching.
how long does it take to cut the large tie fighter?
how did you make the project so that it works with 3mm plywood (starwars interceptor)
Dear friend, nice ideas and clean work. Is it possible to get the bee poused project in dxf file? how? Thanks a lot.
Links to download the files are in the description.
Thanks for watching.
Is that a 60w output or input laser?
Can you send the link I went into website but can’t find it
Which project are you looking for?
@@MakeTechCreate the Star Wars one
The link on my site will send you to it: maketechcreate.com/blogs/video-tutorials/laser-cut-projects-for-gift-ideas
is it me or are there parts missing from the tie interceptor file. Part A
I'll check soon as I get a minute
May i know how to polish the wooden chest?
How long does it take to cut these items and how large are the blank pieces of wood? Thanks!

Hi Dear, Your work is very nice, Would you please Can you send
me some file for me ? I need to make some one .
Where can i download the files? Very good projects
Thingiverse, he’s says it in the video.
Very cool. Did you design the templates yourself or are they something you found online?
These are all from Thingiverse. Links are in the description.

The best thing is mobile phone holder. Anxiously wait to collect money and buy laser.
Hello, may i know the laser cutter model you use?
thanks
It's a generic 50watt 5030 Chinesse model. You can get them on Amazon or eBay.
Do you think I can cut these projects with a 5500 mw laser (incrementing the number of passes ..) ?
I can cut 1/8" plywood with my 2.5 watt, so you shouldn't have any issues with your 5.5 watt laser, it may take you a while, though.

how thick is the board you're using?
These projects were all done on 1/8 or 1/4 boards.
Perhaps do real time for the first two of each type of piece. I couldn't see what you were doing even slowed down at x0.25.
Wish one is your laser cut machine? thannks!
I has 5030 50watt eBay laser. Thanks for watching!
i am from egypt .how can I get ready project designs, please

qual o preço dos vetores das naves?
They're all on Thingiverse for free.
Very nice brother but its to hard for me
Thanks for watching!
How thick is the plywood in mm? 3?
3mm you kinda answerd ya own question there buddy
what power ....watt
I use a 50watt CO2 laser. Power and speed will depend on the laser you're using.
Newsflash. Canada is metric and very much "inside" North America.
