Yes it is a miracle that The Lions were able to keep OC Ben Johnson. The Lions have extended their "core" players. OT Penei Sewell is on path to be one of the GREATEST ever. WR Amon Ra St Brown has only scratched the surface of what he is capable of being. QB Jared Goff, as Greg Cosell so eloquently pointed out, is a big "6'4, with phenomenal pocket presence, an accurate, very strong arm. Because of the power style offense that I'm sure Johnson is improving on daily, with the "Dynamic Duo" of RBs Jamyr Gibbs and Montgomery, will enhance Goff's performance even more. Lions HC Dan Campbell has already stated "We want the WHOLE enchilada" is as clear as it gets. A truly great segment from Ross and Greg.
Ross and M Dub were amongst the first podcasts I started listening to. Man I miss those 2 working together and when Ross went on his own, his first podcast where he talks to M dub about the life of a scout is still my favorite of all time. Much love for Ross and Cosell is the GOAT!
Buggs being arrested 2x sadly isn’t a surprise. His life off the field was the reason he wasn’t getting on the field in Detroit, and his failure to address his issues was ultimately the reason Detroit released him. They saw the writing on the wall.
Lions running back room will be difficult to stop. They are one of the best and our O Line is one of the best. Lions secondary and D Line has drastically improved. A/G finally has the players he needs to make them in the top 15 on defense.
Back in the 60's they were the major team to the Portland Beavers and our little league team went to a game the Giants playing the Beavers and the players were great as far as interacting with the kids and I asked Willie why he was squeezing this rubber ball and he said it made his wrists stronger a great man and player.
Can confirm about mccarthy...my kids played hs football with him in the chicago catholic league...they are giants fans..but didnt want the giants to draft him???
