I think they do the stages (since the dance is just ripped) then the huge stages the the camera angles the reason why its huge is maybe because the camera might see the void and because they dont know where the camera might be staring cause in this one the camera does a spin on miku thats just my guess though
I feel like at 1:39 that was a extra animation that got cut from the game because it’s not shown on the actually game version, I find that interesting.
That's technically not an "extra motion". All the new PVs use the choreos from Magical Mirai. That's the reason why there's a complete motion rip of Catch the Wave (no teleports) - she's dancing all the time; just phasing in and out of existence.
