How To Sanitize Your RV Water System! (Simple & Easy) | ROA Off-Road

We want to show you the easiest method for sanitizing your RV water system! Summer is here and that means it is time to go camping. If you are like Jordan, your tank may be in need for a nice bleach bath! In this video, we show you the process of getting your tank ready for your next camping trip.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Drain all water from fresh tank.
2. Bypass water heater, and any filters.
3. Add 1 cup of bleach for every 50 gallons of water (can use 5 gallon bucket and siphon, or pour down hose)
4. Run water lines until you smell bleach.
5. Let it sit for 12 hours.
6. Drain water tank.
7. Fill water tank with fresh water.
8. Run water lines until bleach smell is gone.
9. Drain water tank.
10. Fill tank with fresh water and enjoy camping!

We use our travel trailer often ( 2X each month year around). I normally only dump my water tank during freezing weather when not camping. Once in a while I will put bleach in grey water tank just to keep it from becoming too gross. Currently camping with an X 195.

do not use "splash free" bleach either. you want basic bleach
