Hello sir can i ask about WQT/WPQT, Iam do WQT/WPQT for fillet weld in 2F position, my question is what is the qualified range for the pipe diameter? Only 600mm above if for WPS qualification. Should we follow the WPS qualified range also? Because its not state in the AWS D1.1 2020 and I only put it unlimited OD in Welder Certificate.
Hi! Please make a tutorial video to review WPS and PQR Please.
Good work!!!
For Range of Base Material (BM) qualified. this is non-essential variable. Why range qualified is "any AWS qualified base material". It means only BM that mentioned on AWS D1.1 2020 Table 5.3 and Table 6.9. My question here: how about other materials (materials met requirement. :Carbon and low alloy steels with Min. specified yield strength 690 Mpa or less - that mentioned at clause 1.4) that no mentioned above tables (EN, DIN, JIS, ...). Pls clear up help me.
sir, please give link for this tamplet
If welder qualified by pqr test. Should we mention WPS number or pqr number on welder qualification record
I am just prepared a new WPS name for that WPQT its can?

Sir how to aply
Sir if a welder weld vertical position and tested and passed can he have rights to weld flat and horizontal. In AWS if he qualified in 3g position does automatically qualifies 2g and 1g or separate test needed
Refer table 6.10 of AWS D1.1 2020 Edition.
3G qualifies for F,H and V positions.
Where is Diameter restriction given???
Well done
Thank you 👍
I have one doubt about WQT as per AWS d1. 1.. What are the test required after visual inspection in WQT as per AWS d1.1 2020..
I will upload a video regarding this topic in upcoming week.
