Hola Familia!
This Nyc family went on a very last minute vacation to Dominican Republic. Santo Domingo to be exact. (So this is a travel vlog 2023, Not a Nyc vlog or a Brooklyn vlog-- next time Okay!! haha) We decided to Santo Domingo Dominican Republic because my grandma and mom were also coming and they haven't been in Republica Dominicana for a while. So decided to make this a baecation. We had so much fun. For starters we stayed in Zona Colonial. Zona Colonial is located in the capital- Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. There are many things to do in Dominican Republic and this is one of them. Lots of restaurants, and the Santo Domingo nightlife is lit. went dancing, walked around, ate delicious food. Best part was seeing my grandmas house after so many years. We took a 40 min drive to Playa Juan Dolio in San Pedro de Macoris. We rented a beach front airbnb for my family and I for a few days. We almost went to Boca Chica instead but decided to check out Juan Dolio Beach.
Let me tell you it felt incredible leaving NYC for a bit because this Nyc family definitely needed it. Santo Domingo was was great, slow living with amazing vibes.

I haven't been to boca Chica since I was a kid. I planned on going back to check out the vibes when I visited DR this year.

Hello watching another of your videos. Planning to go to SD n then to Juan Dolió. Do Ubers go there from SD? Or vice versa?
Any info on this Airbnb you were at would be greatly appreciated 🫶
Hi! Thank you for watching! So basically Uber is supposed to go from SD to Juan Dolio, BUT it's a headache because you'll have to deal with the drivers. They always want to go off the app to charge a different rate. They'll get to you and charge more $ or they'll drive you there and then deman more $. Before going we tried like 4 Ubers and eventually gave up. Luckily, I found someone to drive us in SD, I then eventually found another person in the Juan Dolio side who drove us to the airport. Uber is great, tho for short distances! I took it from Zona to SD Este frequently.
@@TheClarkPerrys that really is so unfortunate since we’d like to stay at least a month or more n I cans afford a car.
Man, I’d be nice to know ppl there you can trust( like locals) to drive you n pay them instead of dealing with Ubers. That sounds so frustrating.
