It was interesting to hear Chipper hold himself accountable for some of the off-the-field choices he wasn't too proud of. You can really see genuine humility within him. He really seems like a decent person! I KNOW that if I had instant access to all the vices these famous athletes are exposed to on a daily basis, I would have DEFINITELY been a terrible person. The fact that Chipper Jones still turned out decent after being so famous says a lot about him and the parents that raised him. Hes a much better person than i am. Chipper Jones was my hero as a kid so its cool to grow up and see this interview and realize that besides being a gifted athlete, he is also a good man too.

I love his parents. The are so genuine and seems to really enjoy life. Its seems like even if Chipper wasn't in the majors that they would still be good folks.

I watched Chipper, from when he came into the league, I had two favorite team's all my life of course as a kid I was a Cincinnati Reds, fan then I also loved to watch Dale Murphy, play for the Braves I first started watching the Atlanta Braves, I watched the Braves, as I followed Hank Aaron, through the late 60's & 70's I have followed the Braves, ever since they were the Milwaukee Braves, but as for Chipper, I always thought he was the closest thing to Mickey Mantle, I seen other then Mickey, had more speed when he was younger, they were both great hitters from both sides of the plate closing I would just like to say Thank You to Chipper, I got great enjoyment from watching you play. Thanks again

Every parent who has a child who is an athlete needs to watch and learn from this. Especially, the idiot little league parents who are trying to live vicariously through their kids.

You murdered my Phillies my entire child hood in the 90’s, but Philly fans respect the guys who play the game the right way. Respect and so glad he’s happy.

This was such a breath of fresh air. Baseball aside it's a loving family who have had ups and downs just like everyone. No primrose path just because you have fame and money

The "not everybody should gat a trophy comment and I know its not politically correct" comment is especially hilarious coming from a member of the generation that started handing out trophies to everyone.
