The dive being attempted at 2:06 is actually an armstand backward quad. Mega status.

Non-Chinese divers work hard and Chinese ones just work 10 times harder! That's pretty much the only explanation.

Tony Nguyen People do have the free will to choose what to do, but if your training is funded by the federal government then you are supposed to represent the country at international tournament. I don't see how things are different in those "non-communist countries"

If by "fairy" you meaning skilled based and favors a smaller body frame then yes. Asians in general suck at sports like track and field. Maybe coaches like Rett will come up with some training system that helps Asian overcome genetic disadvantages and become more explosive.

China has forgotten many sports they were good at long long time ...........like Handball 1984........Zhai Chao Chao zhai is unknown in China....Chinese are not interested in Handball............China has forgotten Biathlon....running and shooting is not getting its recognition not like Magdalena Neuner...............China is maybe at its limit of birth rate and money spending............Soccer is wasting lots of money.....they should have spent it other ways to other sports intead of soccer........Weightlifting is not good at marketing........Diving Weightlifting gymnastics shooting are olympics tradition but badminton and ping pong can end like wrestling especially table tennis is boring....if badminton is also boring then it will be abolished since 1992...........Handball is the european american football...hard tackling injury and fracture of brocken fingers................Chinese are maybe softer after its one child policy of spoilt children..........I mean you know the rich Chinese do not send their children to sports academy only poor children attend sport schools there but after the gold medal these poor children can support their families............but it is far better poor athletes get these chances of upgrading than let rich guys controlling the sport sector.........the only problem is you still have more boys than girls doing competitive sports there......like Badminton was female dominated but after abortions of girls now Badminton turned to male sport in China..............Basketball was female before Yao ming but thanks to Yao it became male sport............soccer was like sun wen also female but now it is neither and lots of wasted money...........volleyball is female .........handball water polo hockey are all feamle............you see there is a thin red line between efficiency and wasting money into busts like soccer...........china and chinese will rethink........they really can do more folk sports like running weight room gymnastics and other affordable sports and they really have to know more about efficiency instead of wasting all their money!
