Considering 28 Days Later brought him into the mainstream acting world, cock and balls and all, and it got such high praise I can't say I'm surprised he's working with the original director and writer to bring the story back full circle.

Whenever I watch it I want to scream "don't take two beautiful young women to men with guns." A dumb idea on it's face. I would head for the coast and grab a yacht. But that's just me.
i bought the box set about 17 years ago and still watch them now ,super pumped for the next movie!
28 Days Later changed my life when I was a kid. The church scene always stuck with me. Piles of bodies in the pews. He says one word, and like 12 infected shoot up and look at him.
The sequence of him going back to save Selena was perfect. The music. The rain. I love how chaotic it gets after he unchains Mailer.

The scene in the big house with the rain pouring down and everything is just chaos, zombies running around, Jim being in the zone trying to protect the girls and the music playing… brilliant.

So freaking good can't wait for this sequel to come out. 28 Days Later was the first time I'd ever seen Cillian Murphy even though he looked 14 years old 🙂 in this movie he did such an excellent job.
The girl hiding behind the mirror, with a zombie, confused, looking at itself. The house scene is something that still gets me everytime I re-watch.
That scene made me listen to John Murphy’s entire work.

There was a sequel
Cillian is a type of actor that when I see a preview, and he's in it, I know it will be amazing. He's truly a master of his craft. Also, to hear him say the words that 28 Years Later is going to get made has excited me to no end.

Always really great to see Cillian engaged in the interview. It seldom seems to happen. So often he's rolling his eyes, staring at the ceiling and dreaming. Well done Josh.
28 Days Later is my favorite zombie film. I really don't think any others measure up. Casting, soundtrack, writing was good. The scenario and the zombies are more realistic which makes it terrifying. Can't wait!
Cuz they aren’t zombies. As much as people love to call it that, the creator has said otherwise, and zombies are undead whereas rage virus is an infection, pandemic so to speak…but it also makes the running more believable, cuz really how many zombies would last running aimlessly without breaking an ankle and then are limping around on a broken foot
@@patrickkirkham it's true they aren't exactly zombies, but films like those fell under the "zombie" label just like World War Z and I Am Legend etc. Even TWD was advertised as zombies but it was all an infection of some sort. I like the outbreak aspect to it for sure.

That was my introduction to Godspeed You! Black Emperor as I’m sure it was for a lot of people. Been a fan ever since, even got a tattoo of the Lift Your Skinny Fists album cover 😊

@@abrin5508 yeah like the main theme song was GYBE’s East Hastings - although edited quite a bit so that it would fit with the film, I mean, as all GYBE songs, they’re slow burning, so I would imagine doesn’t really make it easy to use in a film production

28 Days Later was my first "zombie" movie in theaters and it was an EXPERIANCE. 28 Weeks was an excellent follow up in itself. Was so devastated that we never got 28 Months, but i am so excited for this news. 28 Years Later in a world controlled by the infected. Its gonna be interesting to see how it works considering the infected can starve to death and thats how it was stopped the first time.

I hated zombie movies and games growing up. I thought they were lame. Then someone gave me a copy of 28 Days Later. Fell in love with it almost immediately.
28 Days Later and Attack of The Block are my two favourite movies of all time. Shaun and dawn of the dead are up there as well.

He’s a very polite boy. I once saw him in my local video shop maybe a year after Batman Begins came out or so; he didn’t have his membership card and patiently said his name (“Moirphy”) and went through the process of identifying himself instead of giving it the “don’t you know who I am” and all that.

I remember seeing 28 Days Later when I was a child and getting the poster years later and hanging it in my door room in college. Still an awesome movie until this day, cool too know there is another sequel in the mix.

Cillian seems like a legit folk, that’s why even though I didn’t care for Oppenheimer he kept me watching his performance and his depth is brilliant absolutely brilliant (as the UK folk say)

I remember once i saw "28 days" on Netflix recently added and got super excited. I failed to notice that it was actually some Sandra Bullock movie though, not 28 Days LATER. lmao The disappointment was rough.

Till this day, these movies were the only ones that traumatized me when I was little. The first one scared me because it was filmed with a potato for 2002 standards. The second one’s intro stuck in my head till this day. I would cry if these infected were real since they’re smart, fast, and strong.

I will never forget that feeling I had walking out of the theatre with my friend after watching 28 Days Later. I remember really thinking how good we have it. We aren't at each other's throats. We are not wondering if the next guy around me is going to be a liability. We are able to congregate and talk and enjoy the night time and not filled with fear and trepidation. We don't have to be on-guard 100% and tensed up ready for anything at anytime.
It might be 28 years later by the time we get the movie. I’ve been waiting forever for it 😭

I don't remember how I originally saw 28 days later. But it has always been one of my favorite films. So happy it's getting a real sequel with Cillian. Dude was such a savage in the end of that movie. When I think of the depth of darkness that a zombie apocalypse would bring about I think about the end of 28 days later. So good.
