- Thailand says it's prepared to accept 100,000 refugees fleeing fighting in Myanmar, that's raged since a 2021 military coup. The countries share a 2,400km border - along which rebels have seized the town of Myawaddy from Myanmar's ruling Junta. Fortify Rights investigations associate Pavani Nagaraja Bhat tells The World's Yvonne Yong "there's been a massive influx of refugees in Thailand who are fleeing persecution and air strikes on a regular basis."
