Ren is a REVOLUTION. His work speaks of how so many of us feel. Twisted & fkd up by a system none of us want. THAT is why he’s such a dangerous animal. 👏👏👏
I'm the same 😅 Over 50 and I've NEVER really liked Rap, but Ren is such an AMAZING artist!; and sort of "MultiTalented". So... he is just WORTH LISTENING TOO! ❤ Btw.... this song is based on ANIMAL FARM, and personaöly , I feel that this piece may also reflect todays unstable world...!? And I actually LOVE the Beat! ❤
It’s his multi layered creative process that I find fascinating. Very much the music is pieces of art in accompaniment to the visual too. Theatrical style with a very relatable theme Storytelling Wisdom Insight. Multi talented indeed because not only can he write, he can hear the notes and funnel it into a visual language as well audio. Rare to have that 360 degree of talent. I draw, been an artist since childhood and a fan of theatre, English literature and tarot reading. All use visual symbolism or descriptive words to evoke feeling, empathy and understanding. Incredible talent.
Gotta keep diving into Rev bro, loads of great songs!!! Humble, Ocean, losing it, what you want, Genisis, money game pt 2, love music pts 1,2 and 3, chalk outlines (live) and loads more!!!
actually love this. Animal Flow, from the Animal Farm (laws on the wall)...led by the Shepherd not the Sheep (Hi REN) and the visualization of Clockwork Orange and the the leader of the Droogs. Ren is still on another level...again...with ANOTHER ONE SHOT VIDEO. watch that again.
Ren makes such deep music that you really need to watch each song multiple times to catch everything. From the beat, to the vocals, its insane. He creates percussion with his lyrics and vocals to add to these difficult beats, and it really just works so well.
He is paying tribute to cult film classics I think ..George Orwells Animal Farm being the main theme based with scenes from these classics like The Shining (girl on bike in hallway) Witches of Eastwick ( 3 girls round Rens feet ) A clockwork orange ( dressed in white with a cane ) Silence of the Lambs ( cannibal stair scene with lamb ) the chocolate factory (the beat ) Wind in the willows and creature from the black lagoon ( bathroom scene toad and creature in bath ) All cult classical movies.. Im sure there are more .. this is a piece of art ..nice reaction
You almost have to watch his videos multiple times to pick up all the nuances in his song. Not only is his flow so complex , but his verses have so many meanings based on his personal life but on social commentary. Even if you don't like rap or his style, you cannot deny his brilliance and how he is a generational talent.

Stevie i completely understand why some People don't get Ren because he's Different, you are right he's rapping he's going back to old school Hip Hop but doing it the Ren way, he said himself the Beat was inspired by Kanye's Black Skinhead, but because he's so different from anything around some people don't get it, Ren is making his own Genre.
We've got Clockwork Orange in the outfit but this was one take done in a day where Kubrick was know for often times doing more than 100 takes on a single scene. Animal farm on the whiteboard, dogs playing poker like the paintings, so many easter eggs, ton of callbacks to prior videos. 4 legs good 2 legs bad and no alcohol but he was served alcohol. Carried the cane the entire time and used it as a third leg at the end and was followed by the animals. So he was not bad, not good. Just like in Hi Ren when he said we are between angels demons and gods. There are a million things to unpack
@@IanElkins It's possible - I assumed because one of the animal farm rules were no alcohol it would be ironic for them to be serving it to him when cannibalism was going on outside the door
Book, animal farm is the theme and all the references. We’ll known book touches on the Russian revolution through animal theme rising up against the humans, to create animal farm democracies then collaborating with humans in the end…
I like the reaction. It's cool to hear a reaction just based on the song's merits. Everyone's focusing on the connections to Orwell and Clockwork Orange, but he IS a musician first and foremost. Good to hear you focus on that part!
Ren was misdiagnosed a decade ago by doctors. He actually had Lime Disease but they thought his mind was playing tricks and gave him strong drugs psychotropics and told him he was crazy. The Lyme disease ran amuck for 7-8 years. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to undo all the damage done. his life was dramatically shortened by the misdiagnosis but he is doing his best to stay in shape and recover all the stolen years past & future.
Absolute genius..... Ren sees where things are going. Not long kiddies. Animal Farm is a beast fable, in the form of a satirical allegorical novella, by George Orwell, who brought us 1984. published in England on 17 August 1945. Orwell was a futurist.
I am obsessed with Ren!!!! There is nobody like him on this planet! You are one of the best reactors and I adore the fact that you are helping this genius blow up as he should!!!
REN is an genius, based it on animal farm 🤯🤯 can't wait to see you react to others, always look out for your reactions to him, mass respect from the UK mate 👌
Being a 65 yr old Ren always reminds me of Pink Floyd. Comfortably Numb, Animals etc...... So I'm a true fan. I think he has a depth of thought as Roger Waters. Glad to see a new artist who can do that and be tim
The over arching theme is power currupts even as he becomes the leader he will be cruel. Basic human instinct. The gems in the video the dogs playing cards is a perfect example there is a famous painting showing this. The words on the wall 7 rules from Animal farm by George Orwell.

Ren's got a couple videos on this, but supposedly CNN edited the video to show a longer section of "Hi Ren" and put a statement of his about his song at the end of the video? More of a correction than an apology, but given the backlash they got it was a pretty quick correction. Anybody got a link of that version?
And CNN got blasted by the RENegades and they changed it up. Not an apology but they definitely heard the people loud and clear to change so quickly. 😂
I didn’t really get into this one a few days ago when I first heard it, but after watching a couple reactions to it, I appreciate it so much more. I know very little about rap and even without a different than myself I have a hard time catching everything and my mind doesn’t work fast enough to be able to interpret it all and catch all the meanings. I come from a country music background and wasn’t allowed to listen to rap growing up so when I became an adult I just never gravitated towards it because I loved country music. Now I’ve learned this past year that it’s the artist, not the genre, that matters to me and authenticity is huge
Ren was signed a long time ago but his sickness got in the way. Currently he's in Canada in therapy , but said he has an album worth of material which he will release across the year. Then he will put the hip hop on the shelf for a while and try something new.

It’s an anti-establishment anthem and a bunch of the bare and the video is a double for the Animal Farm novel. This is probably one of the deepest songs he has dropped to date. This song goes deep. Check out the allegory with Orwell’s “Animal Farm.” The pigs, the chained up human, all of it. His flow structure, like you said, is fire. Such a good song.
in the first verse Ren uses a bit of British slang that Americans might not know and that word is Booky, Booky is someone acting strange or weird ( you're acting booky bruv) or it can be referred to a place being strange or weird ( That house is booky)
