This has the best audio quality on the "Disney's Wonderful World" opening theme song that I've ever come across; they didn't have Hi-fi VCRs until later in the 1980s. I guess it's fairly accurate to how the NBC rerun would have played out.
Michael Jackson's performance wasn't really a performance. He loved the hell outta some Disney. That joy in his face as he's singing and dancing is coing from a pure place. He's happy at that particular point in his life during the "Off The Wall" era. That was his spot. He absolutely loved Disneyland.
I have Disneyland 25th Anniversary from its original tv airing from 1980 with the kraft food recipes commercials-60 min,& Walt Disney World Very Merry Christmas Parade 12-25-1983 with commercials-60 min,Disneyland 30th Anniversary 1985 with original commercials-2hrs.Email for info
From 29:00 to 35:16 here is my comment... Peter Tork's page mentioned Danny Kaye's birthday. But I'm not posting this to watch the whole thing. When I think of Danny Kaye, I think of this weird Disneyland special. So I find the 29th minute and see a WILD PLETHORA of cameos. Here is what I see: Oh, my gosh! It's Potsie on the carousel! Random twin boys and Annette Funicello. Bartender from "The Love Boat", Oh hey, it's Danny Kaye! Holy Crap, Boss Hog! Random ton of people... Gopher! Some dude. Tia from Escape to Witch Mountain! Bunch'a spectators singing at the hoop'de doo review... (is that the guy from Duke's of Hazhard?) Wow! It's Danny Kaye! (With boxed heads of random patrons.) Cool parents with annoying sweaters from 1980. Very tickled cast member ladies. OH wow! It's Danny Kaye! Sweet! 6 of the janitors! (I knew a janitor there once.) KLINGER! Hey, It's Danny Kaye! (after a coupla other dudes I don't know) Yay! Buddy Epsen! :) The never-ending Joanne Worley! OMG! DANNY KAYE! (33:00 Hey, it's that 7th Grade English teacher we all had.) 1980's crew dressed for the 1970's THERE are the Dukes of Hazard! Wow! Danny Kaye! Hey, Mary Ellen Walton! Ronnie Schell... I know that guy. Gosh, is that Danny Kaye? AND... a bunch of poor 1980's kids that you've completely embarrassed for life by making them have Demille close-ups singing Disney songs... (As Danny Kaye runs out of breath.) Happy Birthday, Danny Kaye. ^_^
Would you happen to have the shows from Disney MEET ME AT DISNEYLAND 1962 and or DIXIELAND AT DISNEYLAND 1964? I’m am looking for the Clara Ward Singers appearances on those shows.
OMG! I'm in this video, in the marching band! This was the longest day of my youth. But, that said, I would REALLY love to buy a copy of this on DVD if anyone has it... I googled it and can't locate one :( (I'd even buy a VHS if that is all that's available) Can anyone help me out?
