Deb Talen at NY City Winery

Loved seeing and hearing this brilliant artist again. City Winery is a great venue for intimate concerts. Deb has the most unique and beautiful voice. Her new songs are compelling and moving, especially one called "Growing Up." Can't wait to hear more. A few are now available on iTunes. Deb and husband Steve founded The Weepies.

I've always been fascinated by the way The Weepies breaks conventions in their song structure. This song has an early bridge, and then goes to a Verse 2. And Verse 2 is half filled with a moment of pause. They just have a really interesting narrative within their songs and I love it.

My 2.5 old daughter says that you have a pretty dress and a nice guitare and that she wants to see you "next day" ;)
