Both you and Steve created some beautiful art that has accompanied many of the special moments in the last 20 years of my life. Your sound has memory attached for me and the songs bring whole new meaning as I age. I hope we hear more but most importantly "I wish you well"
I'm so Glad to discover your channel. You may not remember me, it was 1994? And you came to yakima to promote your first album with Hummingfish. I met you guys in a record store called "Off The Record". I loved it. I stayed for the whole set. I came up to you guys and bought the albumn off of you guys instead of the store. I was so happy I gave you a hug! You guys said hey come to some bar that you would be playing that night but I was only 17. So no go. Time goes by and I buy Love Traktor. Time happens and around 2000 I am in charge of the activities at the local college as a member of the ASB. So you know I booked Hummingfish!! Well you guys were scheduled to come Olay and broke up a month before you guys were going to play. Time marches on and I mention you to Sarah Donner, who is from the Boston area. She tells me that she loves you too and tells me about the weepies. Love you Deb and am excited about what the future holds for one of my favorite artists.

I don't know how I missed these 2 lovely videos for SIX MONTHS. But my goodness you look badass and happy. Always glad to see content from you - I ran after a bus in Chicago and took an uber for 45 minutes to claim last minute tickets for your sold out show at SPACE. I feel so lucky to have been there in time to see you. It was so cold and so worth it. I'm sorry about your frozen fingers, and I hope that tea thermos is still keeping your tea warm on tour!
Ever since I watched Lovely and Amazing, and heard your song over the end titles, I have been a huge fan of your music… and followed your life into the Weepies. I still preferred your solo stuff. Now my daughter, 18, who listened to your music as she grew up, is a huge fan. Generations of fans Deb! I’ve followed your life briefly, through marriage, Cancer, kids… Big Strong Girl. You are. As a songwriter myself, I feel I relate a lot to your songs and the stories you tell, very personal, I like that. Somehow I forgot the name of your band and thought you were the Magpies (I am Dyslexic) and I could not find you guys again. Fast forward to 2024 and I discovered your awesome music again. In 2 weeks I have ever album of yours and I am so happy that I finally dove into your beautiful and inspirational music. I believe you have one of the most inspiring and welcoming vocal instruments that I have ever heard. You and Ella! Love you so much!!

A friend of mine put this on a mix cd for me when i was in my early 20s. The cd was in my car forever and the car got stolen, but this song randomly pops in my head every few years. Beautiful song.
My wife and I heard you for the first time on Mountain Stage on the van radio driving to one of my shows. The song "Speak Well of Me" as well all your others were so well crafted in every sense. Just like this tune. Your lyrics etc... inspire me as a song writer. And also simply allow me to enjoy music outside of my own work. You have such a great voice, it's so very enjoyable. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to your music on the way home from my shows buzzing down the roads of Iowa late at night. Thank you. I hope I get the chance to watch you perform solo sometime. Keep up the great work!
