My personal take.... The thing about GiGi is that she tries to understand the song/the message of the song by heart and then translate that on her own way. basically she is story-telling but singing but the emotion she convey are hers. That's why it kind of feek more impactful.. She does this in other covers as well, Unholy and (I can't recall the title but there are 2 others that sticks to my mind).

I'm a huge fan of Norah Jones too OMG! Please do a reaction of her. You are right, Gigi do sound a bit like Norah in some parts of the song. She did a Norah Jones cover. K. Will's chorus take is indeed impressive. His tone is great and his runs are tasteful. Nicole's version is as you say more intimate. I personally like Gigi's cover more also but I guess I'm biased hahahaha. She just make it look like singing is so easy. All three of them did a good job.

She sounds like many artists that she covered. She's doing it like it was nothing. You name it, from Karen Carpenter to Mariah to Avril to Alanis to Hayley of Paramore even Beyonce its unbelievable. She's crazy talented. I've heard and seen it all.

Btw, I have truly hope someday you react to Lani, Regine, and Jaya singing The Greatest Love of All. You are a big fan of great music and great singers. These three I mentioned are practically the top three divas to have ever come out of the Philippines. Regine is the undisputed Asia's Songbird. Lani bested the likes of no less than Celine Dion, Tom Jones, Toni Braxton, Dolly Parton, etc for the Critic's Choice for Best Singer in Las Vegas. You have distinct style of making reviews i like it but this seemed like the fourth video performance where you muted the instrumentals do you really need to do that ? I realize you may have your own purpose for it but it looked and sounded a bit awkward to me aside from it diminishes the otherwise nicely done collab of musicians and vocalist . I was awestrucked by your abs and pretty singing voice though
yeah I actually prefer that she doesn't do that bc the instrumentals are really very good too & they compliment the voice.
