42 minutes, all with timecodes? Epic work man, watching right now.
That video length allows me to call the video "ultimate" 😎
Thanks for the effort man, there's no one talking about Reaper when it comes to beatmaking...poor people, little they know 👀
Someone's gotta pave the way!
Renoise rewired in Reaper is a lethal combination as if the two were made for each other.
@@MS-1 what is it? I could look it up myself but...
@@rogerrinkavage Basically, using the Renoise sequencer inside Reaper with any midi controller will do.
(Reaper and Renoise working in tandem laying the bars and, sequences down with timelines and, transport controls in sync).
I really appreciate this guide! I am a beginner when it comes to music making and as someone who tends to open a DAW, stare at it for 20 seconds and then give up, you really make the process of making music feel more approachable by suggesting a sort of process for creating a track.
I also really appreciate that you at times mess up in the loop recording (on purpose or not) to then show the glueing feature and the possibility of recording multiple takes!
Great video!
I'm Asian and I think what you said is not offending. I agree with you too that it sounds like an Asian Ethnic Stringed Instruments. :)
I was kinda worried if it's not just "orientalism" which sees all the eastern cultures as "Asian" and doesn't recognize particular ones, but everyone with a little humor will be chill 😜 Ta da da da dun dun dan dan dun 🎹
Dope tutorial but just a piece of advise: when it comes to a tutorial for total beginners, you should probably stick with the default UI even if you prefer a different one, because to a noob they look totally different and it's quite confusing
I definitely get the point, but I've forgot how to use the regular theme long time ago, haha
This the best Reaper Beat making guide by far dude, you are really thorough in your explanations, and you really give basically everything you need to start making your own beats in one video, thank you so much and have a great day ✌
That's my exact intention. Glad to hear that it works 😀
Man that is one of the best summarized tutorials I've ever seen, not only in reaper software but any daw! Thanks man!
A big thanks from Finland! This was time well spent. Reaper is such a beast to explore that this brought many useful things up. Liked & subbed!
Wow, dude. Where so many tutorials would be a 10 minute video to cover one concept with ads, ad-reads, etc..., you've put them all into one comprehensive video with absolute gems of knowledge sprinkled in. The psuedomaster bus and reverb bus tips seem like real gamechangers. Just need to figure out the best way to fit Maschine into this workflow cause I lowkey hate the default of it, but love its organization.
Can't wait to watch more of your stuff, thanks a ton.
one of the best beats tutorials ive seen for reaper. Thanks for this
Bro you're a life saver. I've been using reaper for a month and Ican barely use it because I've changed from Logic Pro. Thank you for that theme for reaper.
You took the words "ULTIMATE GUIDE " to next level with this Video
If you're doing something do it 100%! 👊 Thanks
Been using Reaper for 6+ years for sound design. Never found such a good tutorial on beat making!! 🔥
Dzięki Wodzu za interesujący materiał. To właściwie to czego szukałem. 👍
So epic. Made an easy to follow tutorial while making a beat. Gonna have to sub after this masterpiece.
sounds can also be tuned with REAPER's native ReaTune
didn't know about gluing takes, great tip
Absolutely! I could've mentioned it

BRO THIS ROCKS
Excellent Tutorial. I'm considering moving from cakewalk to reaper so needed to know about drums. This is so above my head, I'm now happy Reaper can cope with my simple drumming demands. Thanks for this knowledgeable Video.
You're welcome 😎 Glad I could help
Cant describe this with words ️🔥
Haha, that's a really solid compliment!

thank you so much, I've been looking for something like this!
You're welcome 😎 if you have any further questions feel free to ask 😉
I usually do in MIDI is take the overdub function on so it can re-record the midi. Also by choosing one recording, press ctrl+l to let the window disappear.
Dope! I've made metal music in reaper before, but had no clue how to make beats in it, thank you!
You're welcome 😎 hope i could help
Thank you Wodzu! This tutorial super helpful!!
You're welcome, glad you liked it 😀
Resamplomatic can run more than 1 sample at a time. If you click on the sample name (on the far left with the checkbox), you can copy/paste (control C, Control V) and set a different sample to that. You just need to change the Note Start/Note End of each sample to correspond with what the sound mapped to (depends on your midi controller). Reaper Mania has a good tutorial on this. It allows you to play all the drums at once.
However I do like having each sample on a separate track. If you put multiple samples on one track, you can always explode them out to separate tracks later via midi channel.
Good to know! I'll check that out 😀
Dude you deserve much more than this, what an easy explanation of every thing you have given 🤔✌👍
Share this video then 😀 Glad I could help
@@WodzuBeats Sure
12/10 Content. This is so good. I was planning on watching like 10-15 minutes. Watched the whole thing
Thanks for the kind words! I just dropped a new, shorter video about making beats in Reaper and included a Reaper Beat Making template in it (free). Welcome on the channel 😎
This is great, I've been watching videos on how to make beats on FL Studio the most, but I use Reaper and this is going to be a nice guide. I'm coming back to this video very often, thank you very much for this!!!
Glad I could help 😀
You're simply amazing, thank you so much for the video!

@@WodzuBeats LOL...
I use Reaper and man this was a great tutorial. I learned a couple of things too - like dragging the route button of the kick to the bass track (for side-chaining) - I was doing it manually before. Great job, dude - great pace (for me, anyway) and great explanations.
You're welcome 😎 Glad I could help
great video man, thanks!
You're welcome 😎

Glad to hear that, haha :D Thanks a lot!
You have a serious level my friend ! It's also very cool that you're using Reaper and not Fruity Loops to make this kind of music, it can be very eye opening for people and make them understand that Reaper is an incredibly powerful tool. Congrats !
Thanks man! My goal was always to show that DAW doesn't really matter at the very end
@@WodzuBeats d0 lmms then j0kes l0l even that can be used l0l
Well, everything has exceptions haha
@@WodzuBeats l0l a f0r kicks daw
Awesome great explanation
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much for this. I'v been using FL Studio for producing for quite a long time and Reaper for everything else, as tracking, mixing and editing in FL is trash to say the least, it's only superior for sampling and midi editing to be honest. So I decided that it would be much better to just do everything in Reaper and your video was just super helpful. Thanks
Awesome! Thanks a lot man!
You're welcome!
Epic man🔥 This is my new reaper beat making encyclopedia 😍
Welcome to Reaper Wodzupedia 😎
@@WodzuBeats haha definitely make that a thing 🤣
i'm switching over to reaper from fl studio and this is exactly what i needed. subbed!
Cool! If you have any questions just hit me up on Instagram or Facebook 😉
@@WodzuBeats Awesome thanks. I'll follow now because I know I'll have some questions
@@WodzuBeats damnn you like freddie dredd and devilish trio too? you the man frfr
In place of the Pseudo-Master, I usually add a trim plugin as my first plugin on the master track. Actually I usually just throw ReaEQ on there and use the level control to adjust level into my Master track plugins. Saves a few second on routing each channel as you create it, lol. The Pseudo-Master does have some benefits, like routing to FX tracks perhaps? Thanks for the video man!
NEW SUB BRO. YOUR AMAZING
정말 좋은 비디오 입니다. 특히 마지막에 모든 작업을 마무리하고 탬플릿을 만드는 것은 아주 유용합니다.!
