I switched from a 2018 6.7 Ford diesel to a Ford 7.3 gas , 4.30 rear to pull out 2020 GD 303RLS. I always felt the diesel was not working that hard. The gas 7.3 going up 6-7 degree hills/mountains never had a problem exceeding the speed limit. Mileage with the RV ready to camp was 8.8. This truck was my daily driver to work, 6 miles away. I would put a maximum tow limit on the 7.3 gas at 15k.
If you have a newer 2500 Silverado the 303RLS will never come near your capacities. No need for a 3500 with this small of an RV. Plus the 2500 will ride better the 90% of the time you are not towing.
@@jimhudson937 loooooo OK BRUH. nice comparison mr expert but it is the same frame, engine, trans as a regular pick up truck... because surprise it's just a pickup truck.
I never thought of connecting the breakaway cable to the truck!

Sometimes I wonder if the diesel is worth the extra cost and maintenance. If I didn't pull trailers every week don't think I would have one.
Owned both, the Diesel by far is better.
Gas works the diesel plays .
Short tows gas long tow diesel
Great video, thanks.
Yes with the 350 and 3500’s you dont gain much if any unless you add the other two wheels.
just 1500 lbs more payload capacity
Can you tow that with a 2500 HD Silverado
Should be ok. Just watch your payload. And of course watch how you load the trailer. Don't put all your heavy stuff up front

why would anyone buy anything other than dually to tow
Because this is plenty for a 303 and parking 😮
because most people don't wanna drive a dump truck around when they aren't towing
