Hello friends! A couple of you asked about the yarn in the video...the cream is Bernat Home Dec and the pink is Lion Brand Baby's First!
PS There is a teeny blooper in this video 😂 anyone notice? (I know Beth did, thanks!) 🤣

I have watched probably 10 videos on this stitch trying to understand a sweater pattern I'm working on that has parts in the round but starts going front to back. Your video was finally clear to me about the going in the Upside down V on both sides when doing turning back and forth. I could not get this clearly explained until your video. Thank you so much! I understand the round is done differently. Very important and clear video 🙂

Hi! I've been trying to do this stitch for a while now but had so many problems! It was the fact that no matter how lose I tried to make my stitches, I just couldn't get in there with my hook. I finally was able to fix this problem and I did try going up a hook size or two like you suggested (that was a great idea by the way and I hope this works for others) but for some reason, going down a hook size or two worked for me. I also kept my stitches very lose. This helped me get into the V's much easier with point of my hook. I know this may not help everyone but I just thought I would share it because this is the only thing that worked for me so far.
Thanks so much for the excellent tutorial!

What a cool stitch! I really enjoyed listening to your easy, friendly voice. You sound just like a really good & smart friend I went to Nursing School with. Very Pleasant Indeed😽
My Mom & Granny were fundamentalist crocheters; they only made blankets using Single, Double, Treble & of course Granny Square crochet stitches. Ergo… Those are all I first learned until the Internet swept-in . I don’t quite know what I’ll use the Waistcoat Stitch for, but it’s good just to know it.
    Thanks 🙏🏼

Thanks for the video - this is the only one I've found where you join with a SL ST in the round so the pattern doesn't start to 'barber pole'. I want to do some fair isle designs that would look awkward if just continuing in circles.

I saw a video doing this stitch where u crocheted into the back slanted/diagonal bar-it was very clear and easy to understand but my hand was hurting from the constant awkward position of my hook in order to get into the diagonal bar!
I c it is still a struggle BUT I much prefer ur method-brilliant, ty for sharing and for ur easy to understand instructions and demos!
Also ur stitches are vertical rather than horizontal as the other video was! Please don’t get me wrong she was a very good instructor too, I just prefer ur method and the fact that U also showed how to work this stitch in the round! Love it!
