    From looking at your autonomous it seems like you use odometry. I can't figure out how you would mount the third horizontal wheel, since you're using what seems to be andymark mecanum wheels, I think you have a custom chassis. If you're like us (which you might not be) you probably don't have a channel going horizontally so how would you mount it? My team is having that issue and we're hoping to have odometry on a tilerunner next year.

      At 0:55 they pick up 4 rings. You see them shoot the fourth one out at the right of the tower.

    Hello CB, I was wondering what motor you used for the firing wheel, if you geared up the motor and if so, by how much. My team is currently using a 125rpm motor geared up to 500 and it’s far from enough. If you could let me know, that would be amazing! Thank you and great job!

      I would recommend using a motor with around 1200-2000 rpm. We use two motors at 2000 rpm for our launcher (dual flywheel), and it can fire pretty long distances. I would suggest looking into REV ultra planetary motors. You don’t need to be a rev user to use these, as there are many adapters.

      @@harisrikanth6041 Awesome! Thank you for this information. I have looked into motors and unfortunately the rev planetary motor is out of stock, but Andy mark has a high rpm motor that runs at about 1700 rpms, so I think we are going to go with that as we need it as soon as possible. Thanks again for your input!

      We use GoBilda 1:1 6000 rpm motors. They're nice because you don't need to deal with any gears. We run at about 3600 RPM for tower height.

      @@CircuitBreakers10435Ok, thank you! Just out of curiosity, you guys are a high school team, right? Because if so, that is a seriously awesome robot!

      Hi there. You should consider the 6000rpm bare motors from gobilda. The speed you want really depends on you wheel size, compression, and type of shooter. However, anything below 3500 on a 72mm wheel is probably not going to be enough. I would just 4000-5000Rpm on 4 inch wheels. Good luck!

    @Circuit Breakers 10435, how is your intake continuously running and your battery not losing significant power? We have to turn our battery on/off to conserve power during the game or we lose the efficiency of our ring shooter power if we don't. Judging by the looks of it, your guy's efficiency of your robot's entirety was consistent and didn't seem to slow down even though your intake was on the whole game. I'm just curious how you guy's did it?

      If you team has existed for a long time, look into replacing your batteries. They degrade over time. Another factor is having a mechanism with as little drag as possible as this reduces the power drawn by the motors.

      ^ what Jacob said. And we're only using one 20:1 HD Hex motor. It's built just with REV pillow blocks, bushings, sprockets, axles, and chains. Not the most frictionless, but if you're careful to keep everything straight and not tighten chains too tight...

    Out of curiosity, are you guys using roadrunner for auto? or a custom path planning system?

    • @CircuitBreakers10435
      @CircuitBreakers10435  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We use Roadrunner for localization and use a custom solution for pathing

  • @spidernh

    By the way, I believe you should have had two minor penatlies. I haven't read the rules but from what our ref has given us penalties for, you get one penalty for posessing four (+1 every 5 seconds), and another minor if you score a ring while you have more than three rings.

    how fast is the intake spinning?

    • @CircuitBreakers10435
      @CircuitBreakers10435  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We're using a 20:1 HD hex motor and the sprockets are all 1:1. So about 300 RPM, not super fast. But we found we can intake much more quickly this way vs. belt or roller methods of intaking, without expending much power.
